28/2/2024 16:46 | I closed my position today as well.I expect a raft of selling tomorrow - dividend chasers and institutions wanting to be on the short side. I am thinking we'll see it in the mid 8s very soon. | premium beeks
28/2/2024 16:43 | By selling today and buying tomorrow after XF , you lost out the right on Option 2 . | stevensupertrader
28/2/2024 16:37 | I'm counting on that Appollocreed, sold my holding today and made almost the same as the dividend had I held. Put in a buy order for 920p, we shall see. wllm :) | wllmherk
28/2/2024 16:36 | 6% diff. in the share price btw LSE & NYSE. a day before XD ? Strange | stevensupertrader
28/2/2024 16:31 | Doesn't look like any shorters closed their positions today or this week. I really don't think that much of the outstanding shares are being shorted anyway - you just have to look at shorttracker.co.uk and you can see that only 3.3% of the shares are shorted. That's about £15m of a £484m market cap company. Any shorts below 0.5% will be pretty small. In fact, Voleon capital increased their short this last monday, 26 Feb, and I can only attempt to explain that by the fact that they may think that the fall in price after the ex-dividend date will be higher than the dividend that will be paid out. | apollocreed1

28/2/2024 16:22 | Decision time. Last chance to gamble on the xd share price. | fordtin
28/2/2024 14:50 | US and UK prices seem to be decoupled at the moment | premium beeks
28/2/2024 13:48 | $13.64/1.264 = £10.79. Premarket prices are bit volatile but somebody did actually just pay $13.70. | aleman
28/2/2024 12:26 | I am assumes the shorts are betting or potentially intending to make sure the share price falls more than the divi after it's ex div. Going to be interesting whatever. | pogue
28/2/2024 12:20 | DEC situation is a huge learning curve to my self. BUR was the previous one It is very important imho that the co publishes the tender results asap. I am curious how long will it take. The second important thing is that stiefel restarts buy backs asap. In size. Tommorow. And let it be known. | kaos3
28/2/2024 12:09 | All very quiet today | premium beeks
28/2/2024 08:55 | And somewhat unbelievably, shorts have actually INCREASED their positions (now a minimum of 3.30% stock on loan as @ the 26th Feb). | drk1
28/2/2024 08:47 | UK price might stay the same while US falls 68p to match it? | aleman
28/2/2024 07:46 | Now, does one buy for the divi and hold for the fall.. | bulltradept
28/2/2024 07:31 | XD 87.5c tomorrow. | bountyhunter
27/2/2024 17:47 | Right now New York seems well in control :) £10.62 equivalent now. | bountyhunter
27/2/2024 17:46 | I don't understand the concept. No one is in control, there's either more buys than sells or more sells than buys. No single entity is moving things one way or another. That said, it would be a brave person to open a short before XD day. | premium beeks
27/2/2024 17:44 | I must look away more often. #1353 "shorters well i control" made me laugh! So what's going to happen if they lose control then if indeed they are "well in control" today?! | bountyhunter
27/2/2024 17:04 | $13.50/1.269 = £10.64. UK being held back by round number £10 sellers. It looks like US buying should blow through them in the morning. (US volume 150k+ so higher than recent and still comparable to UK today.) | aleman
27/2/2024 16:56 | 13.44 on NYSE = £10.58. | bluemango
27/2/2024 16:52 | Voleon added to their short yesterday. 3.3% of the shares in issue now needed for all of the major shorts to close. The tender offer will push their required percentage even higher. | fordtin
27/2/2024 16:50 | It seems amazing to be looking at 50p (old money) as a cause for celebration! | 1knocker
27/2/2024 16:06 | £10.41 in the states now. | imnotspartacus
27/2/2024 15:31 | Will it stay above a £10 going into the close ? | bulltradept |
