20/12/2023 13:33 | It's not so unusual for there to be, at least in the short term, different prices in different markets where there is a big difference in the volumes transacted on each market. | ![]() stemis

20/12/2023 12:47 | Post 6839 should read £24 per quarter not month. You also get DMA which can save a lot at times and DEC purchases do not attract SD which saves a fortune. | ![]() gary1966
20/12/2023 12:46 | Man this thing stinks. I am down almost 20% on it. Market is assuming lower inflation and lower rates and yet our 22% odd yield is now 25%. They’ve done the US listing. They’re doing a small amount of buybacks. And yet down we go. Kinda struggling to see what the catalyst is to get the shares up? There is just little support. There is still a tonne of confusion / scepticism over the business model and so I suspect this will likely remain cheap even if it re-rates. Anyway. Just me thinking out loud in the gym! | catabrit

20/12/2023 11:19 | As I said anyone with a Freetrade account can buy 1 share commission free, there is nothing mysterious about it. It's a useful way of reinvesting loose change or confounding people on a thread into believing it's some kind of mysterious signal or manipulation! | ![]() bountyhunter
20/12/2023 11:12 | It's just random numbers generated by the algorithms that direct autobot trading, nothing more. All conspiracy theories are twaddle. | ![]() lord gnome

20/12/2023 10:55 | Regarding the 1 share trade thing; Rebalancing of tracker funds and trusts will probably account for some of them, but odd rules with on-line brokers are likely to account for others. For example; IG charge £8 per trade with a minimum of £24 per quarter. However, if 3 or more trades are made in a calendar month, the following month's fees are lowered to £3 per trade and the £24 minimum is put on hold until trades drop below 3 per calendar month. The upshot of this is that IG customers who don’t intend to make 3 trades in a particular calendar month can save money by trading in single shares until they make up the 3 trades for the month. Other brokers may have similar incentives to make seemingly daft trades. edited to correct as per, "Gary1966 20 Dec '23 - 12:47 - 6848 Post 6839 should read £24 per quarter not month. You also get DMA which can save a lot at times and DEC purchases do not attract SD which saves a fortune." | fordtin
