They may have 50 years to plug their wells but can they physically do it - no they can't as the current in-house capacity is 500 per year and their costings are based on in house values.

Because DEC registered in the Uk , it still has to file year accounts . If it has no premises , so no business rate or council tax to pay .

meanreverter, DEC has no operations in the UK and no offices in the UK. All operations are in the US, all management are US nationals and all management offices are in the US. This is a US company. The existence of a corporate entity in the UK is irrelevant.

CORRECT . Although DEC all its operations are in the US but it is a UK registered Company and subject to both UK and US tax regimes. Since yesterday , DEC shares are dual listing both in Uk and US . The Company wants to get more exposure and get more of its shares traded , and never thought having such a nightmare

As 1knocker correctly says, DEC is a UK company. A quick internet search will give you the details. It was registered at Companies House, Cardiff, on 31 July 2014 under its then name Diversified Gas and Oil. You can find the entire history of its registration at the following website.



Like many other UK companies, it has US operations. That does not make it a US company.

Cannot believe that even in the last two days , DEC increased the buyback from 10k shares to 75k shares and even bought back at over £13 per share - in a short two days , the Company lost about £2 per share 😢

We need to think of the time differences. As has been said this is a company working in the US. AIUI the ultimate holding company is registered in the UK, but that does not make much difference.

DEC is not a UK company. It is a US company that operates assets exclusively in the US from offices in the US. It happens to have listed initially on the London Stock Exchange; that is the only UK connection.
