Wonder if the 2 large trades are more director buys from yesterday?

What you say about algorithms is most definitely not true in small MM driven stocks such as DEMG. I can categorically state this because sometimes I am on the phone listening to my real broker (rather than the online ones) talking to the MM direct trying to do a buy or a sell. On frequent occasions I have heard the MM say that they will mark the price better (or lower) as a result of the trade. I can't say it is always manual but some of the time it definitely is.

Mms upto their usual tricks slowly lowering the trade prices so as not to sell at full ask, and therefore won't increase Sp. Someone said Sps rises and falls are dictated by algorithms and mms have no say but I'm afraid I don't believe them.

Yes and that would be a shame as if DEMG could increase sales the share price might reach that anyway.

So my thoughts are if we get a half decent trading statement early in the New Year showing sustained cashflow positivity and a little growth in the US then the price is going to be in the 1.5-1.8p range. That would be a very good opportunity for a company to come in with a bid Feb/March time because it will be becoming increasingly obvious that the company is on an upward curve and this is the time to strike. In that circumstance more than a 100% premium is unlikely.

All IMHO and of course it could never come to pass.

That's my worry. In the current situation I don't think they would get anything like 5/6p. I would guess more like 3-4p.....

I would be happy with anything above 5/6p. I think that is more than achievable if we do get taken over.

Yes ultimately ODM has only been held back from conquering the heamodynamic monitoring world by the lack of marketing spend. If a big company buys the technology it would be the market leader quite quickly IMHO. After all in surgery it is the only technology proven to work. I think it's only a matter of when not if the company gets bought out but you have to worry that full value for us poor long suffering shareholders might not be achieved.

>>YumpBig companies will be buying their future earnings, not DEMG's histories ones. What happens after they add 100s if millions of dollars through their marketing machine. Witness the $230m Baxter just paid for Cheetah which was still bleeding cash, not much bigger than Deltex etc etcUp to you whether you average down or not. Can't see these getting to 27p but they could get to a third or even half of that from hereMrC

Hi Yump my Investor No. is 1 I've been in these since circa 27p, thankfully I averaged down @1p so it's not all bad.

Got some of these from much higher but not tempted to average down. I just worked out what sort of earnings would result from say a £200K pbt (which is a bit away unless there's a hike in revenue) - its about 0.04p - so other than a short term trade, doesn't look attractive to me. That's about a p/e of 30 at 1.2p share price, which would be OK, IF revenue started moving up significantly, but they've had trouble over many, many years just raising revenue by even token amounts. (ie. if revenue moved up decently, the p/e would look cheap on the following year's earnings, so 30 wouldn't be an issue).

Don't know what to make of the director buys, unless its just a bit of a punt on a takeover. But as before, for years and years, why would anyone take over a business that is not expanding ? After this much time and effort the products would surely be making proper headway - somewhere.

Think there might be one or two flash/day traders so they might bale with their 7-10%

Well at least one of the MMs must be short as a result. Clearly they are hoping some sellers are going to bale them out but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get another tick up on the bid.

Why is it the mms don't take any notice of last reported trades like the almost 1,500,000 trade @ full ask?
gbenson1

So net 3 million shares (about £40k) bought now. That is pretty impressive and the MMs must be short. Will they tick it up again to get a few profit takers?

Hopefully the confidence given by the board members will spark some interest from private investors, looks like the Sp is up 10%+ pre market.

I haven't added up the shares exactly but there are more or less 4.5 million so these must come from the option exercise. Presumably the MMs are just facilitating the trade ahead of the issue of the new shares.

Hi janatha, I've heard the term forward selling of shares/options in the past and co-incidentally Ewan's 4.5m shares come to the market tomoz, is this the home someone was speaking of a few days ago?

Well done the board. Nice vote of confidence. Would be interesting to know who the seller was and whether or not he has any more shares he wants to sell.

I'm with you mrC2u, think Sp should be in the region of 1.80-2.00p with amount of shares in issue, but expecting pickup beyond that as 2nd half sales are always better than 1st half historically, I still think US companies will be running the rule over us!

Lots of directors buying shares at a low price just before year end and a close period. Hmmmm - looks like they are very confident we will not see prices like this againEven without any more good news these should already be at least 3p per share and feels like good news is comingMrC
