As results are due next week the press starting to report. Telegraph slant is reported profits lower than the £55 million-£65 million range at an estimated £44 million.

Now some may think that's great the company making a reasonable profit but the second half is the poorer half and as such could reduce or even wipe out profits at end of second period.

A lot of private investors wont understand all this, the timing of year end makes a big difference.

It just so happens the most profitable period is normally the Christmas period and it comes in Debenhams first half not the second. John Lewis is the other way around.

Q If you were talking to me my name is Debby, but I will forgive you. I agree no one knows albeit the brokers see a halving of profits.

What investors will want more information on is how the company has fared in second period and outlook statement.

Also whether the company is set to close more stores, they did announce they might but more information will probably be forthcoming.

Last but not least, any thoughts on long leases, whether it be talks with lease holders and also what they intend to do with too much space.

Don't know how the markets will react next week apart from Syria and Russia, conflict some important figures out mid week on inflation.

Have a good weekend at least its much warmer.

niggle you really are.

Shorts doomed to failure.

Shorts hedge funds to close.

Good news will bring a massive capitulation in share price.

So niggle how much have you lost in the last couple of days? so sorry you don't like this dog.

Please do your own research.

I think it is libellous to call someone an alcoholic but frankly, the police will just join everyone else on this board who is laughing at you.

Libel is not a criminal offence but a tort, as such you would need to engage with a solicitor who would ask you what the libel has cost you, to ascertain whether it would be worth suing over.

For example, if you were a lorry driver whose job was affected by the accusation then you could sue for loss of earnings, reputation etc.

Since you have never revealed your real name on the board you would have an impossible task making it stick.

So, robot, I see nothing - don't be a fool, you will only cause yourself further stress, on top of the stress caused by all the losses on this dog, which could, in fact, turn anyone to drink!

I c nothing

I thought you said, "Debenhams are doing OK, they stocked up on winter clothing"?

Well, its 17 degrees in my garden, what are they going to do with those coats and jumpers they bought in now?? Pray tell!

“These challenges, plus an ugly profit warning after a disappointing Christmas period, have put a few question marks over the dividend and ensured the group is one of the lowest rated retailers we cover. ”

robot,

I had thought it was you, but realised not.

I wouldn't want you to lose any more money and end up the same way think about your health mate.

As another observation can the police take action against someone who have made remarks about a deceased person?

If you think so could you please tell me what the offence is?

Dividend cut fear (Proactive)

"Investors will be nervous awaiting first half numbers from mid cap department stores group Debenhams PLC (LON:DEB) amid fears of a possible dividend cut as sales stay under pressure.
At the beginning of January analysts at Deutche Bank and Citigroup predicted the FTSE 250-listed firm will likely to announce a dividend cut after a disappointing Christmas trading update.
Debenhams saw a 1.8% decrease in total in like-for-like sales in the 17 weeks to December 30, driven by a decline in the UK where it faced tough competition and a slowdown in consumer spending.
Swiss investment bank UBS recently trimmed its target price for Debenhams to 18p from 23p, saying the department store chain could see costs of over 13p for every £1 of in-store sales because of a channel shift.
Meanwhile, Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct International PLC (LON:SPD) is waiting in the wings, sitting on an increased total holding of 29.7% in Debenhams ."

More like constant rubbish from the robot trash machine!

"Do you know I feel sorry for you"
Actually, it's hard not to feel sorry for you.

"Have you always been like this since childhood or has life made you like this through something that has happened in your life"
Would be helpful if you could answer this one.

"How many posts again YESTERDAY have you lashed out ,is it 11 in total, THATS ONE PER HOUR , WHAT AN UTTER DISGRACE."
You would do well to look at the quantity and quality of your own output on this board!

"I think show glee when they go bust"
Ever thought of facing up to real facts and what's happening in the real world?

"I cannot see any other poster on here that riddicules"
You are a shining example of one

"Debenhams will survive and become stronger"
We shall see

"I will be adding more shares to my pile as and when I see the right time"
That's your choice

"Debenhams will survive regardless of your negative views"
It's possible Debenhams may go bust regardless of positive views.

Have your fun on behalf of me , How sad very very sad .
Do you know I feel sorry for you as I don't think you know any different .
Have you always been like this since childhood or has life made you like this through something that has happened in your life .
I can honestly say I have never come across an individual so biast and entrenched in total negativity than you are showing on this board .

How many posts again YESTERDAY have you lashed out ,is it 11 in total, THATS ONE PER HOUR , WHAT AN UTTER DISGRACE .
Is this a job or hobby ,slating everything that serves the public with food clothes etc , you don't want them to go bust but you keep putting verbal typing nails in the coffins . You seem to gloat at companies that are struggling , and I think show glee when they go bust .

I cannot see any other poster on here that riddicules , and talks down companies like you do constantly .
The compulsive http links you also push on here and the negative posts you type out are like some kind of very serious computer virus that mutates continually day after day.

If removing me from here from posting and it stops doomsters and posters like you on here then it will be a small price to pay and I would go willingly .

Debenhams will survive and become stronger , I will be adding more shares to my pile as and when I see the right time .

Debenhams will survive regardless of your negative views.

Forget the negative writings just stay positive +.
