Apart from BOD on retail sales conviviality went into administration yesterday the wholesale division given away for a nominal sum.

Bargain Booze sold for £7 million

Valuation of some retailers almost worthless.

Buyers fail to realise this company got negative assets when one takes account of leases.

QANTAS - I don't short. I have an IG facility but tend to go long on things I like the look of.

I have all the time in the world Q, especially when outing you for what you are.

It doesn't matter at all to me whether Debs rises from here. Whoever has been in has lost their shirt, while you have been spouting 'sea go back' for more than 10 years!

I simply can't imagine how much money you must have lost over the years backing dogs.

You're bonkers. And sentences like "Shorters doomed to failure this one is going to bite them on the bum." are just ravings.

Who cares?

Still seems some steady closing of short positions going on ... you'd think that shorters would take their massive profits at this stage, especially with Sports Direct so close to 30% ?

Forgot the party piece ,here it is below.

Leadersoffice wrote in this blog sometime earlier this year the posts below.I did not write the blogs they are public knowledge on here and the internet ,I have merely copied them for you all to see again .

Sad about the jobs loss at Toys-for-us
I hope they all find jobs.

Really? You talk down constantly almost obsessively Debenhams in the hope that it goes bust and you move on to your next shorting victim.
You are a boil on the body of capitalism waiting to erupt at any time with all the puss that comes out of your mouth. You are one sad person.

Debenhams will triumph either alone or being taken over but it will not go your way. That you can be sure off.

Posters please make your own minds up ,I have copied the posts above from this debs blog so that it reminds everyone what has been said in past posts .

Debenhams will survive regardless what others say .

I am invested in Debs ,but its my money and ,win or loose its my risk and other posters need to stop trying to tell me they are trying to stop me loosing my money .
I believe Debs are worth investing in ,but it is your own personal choice ,them that have money to buy shares that is .You know who you are.
I do have enough money if I loose my stake in Debs ,but I doubt this will ever happen

The only decent shops in the town centre are Primark, Solutions (Apple), Lidl, Robert Old, Zara, H&M. And as for cafes/restaurants, Côte, Wagamama, Espresso Kitchen, Giggi, Brewhouse & Kitchen.

What do they have in common? They are either fashionably up-to-date, and/or good value, professionally run, offer good service,

I no longer wander round all the shops to find something. I destination shop.

Beales, Debenhams and HoF are dodos. John Lewis isn’t.

Sorry Tony Brown but after a recent visit to your store to buy some furniture I can only conclude that you are totally unaware of today's trading requirements and as such your business is a shining example of the negative feelings expressed by the unqualified commentators as you put it.
Mr Brown when will you realize and understand your customers feelings are expressions of exasperation and frustration about their shopping experience is real and not as you put it just the views of armchair commentators. When people see the retail market place disintegrating before their eyes then there is little wonder that there is such negativity in the town. The era of Grace Brothers has long past - get it?

"Chief executive Mr Brown said he was frustrated that commentators who were not in the retail trade could give unqualified verdicts on shops."

We're all in the retail trade mate as CUSTOMERS, and as a young customer, I can tell you I am very qualified to pass the verdict that Beales went out of fashion with the Jurassic Period.

Shorters doomed to failure.

Bargain-hunting boosts shares as trade worries recede

The FTSE 100 was up 1.2% to 7,118.50, while the pound was down 0.1% against the euro and the dollar at 1.1453 and 1.4061, respectively.

Hammerson rose as it reported modest growth in the value of its portfolio of shopping centres in the first quarter of the year, but said it was waiting for French suitor Klépierre to make its position clear later this month before proceeding with its own takeover of UK rival Intu.
