10/8/2023 09:39 | R. Bernstein tweet"De La Rue share price up 8% so far this morning. More than 40 separate trades with every one being a buy. Volume above average at 251k, around 10 times higher than normal for this time of day. Unusual."https://twi | kooba

24/7/2023 16:00 | Good to see CA doubling down. Classic turnaround / breakup / consolidation opportunity. Could easily see 100p next few months IMHO. | indalo

18/7/2023 11:13 | I think your comments are right although I think selling authentication would be a mistake as the will become the flagship going forward. Also polymer is not widely used by central banks who produce 85% of the world’s notes and they don’t have the technology to do so. Surely that is an opportunity. DLR sales should be knocking on their door promoting this. It was interesting Clive Vatcher spoke about digital currency and perhaps getting into that at the right time. R&D at DLR must be already working on this in the background. Preparation must be being made to move into different markets. Some good news coming out of DLR whether that is a new order being received or a new turnaround plan will send the shares price beyond 80p | mickyl
17/7/2023 19:47 | I think your observation is very likely..the authentication business is in a growing IP backed sector and I'm sure would be highly attractive to an industry or even PE buyer , if someone could prise it away..the value could surprise on the up side. Pay back debt and hopefully sort out the pension once and for all. The currency side has lost market share but the company is well placed for a pick up in demand ..especially in Polymer! There is also a decent chance of one player being interested in the whole show , now the financials are stabilising now could be the point someone has a tilt..European and US buyers could be in the running. There seems to be a strong pick up in overseas corporate moves on U.K. companies just now..this could well be in the sights. The brand might not be quite what it was but the name De La Rue is still recognised globally. | kooba
12/7/2023 13:26 | A bit of consolidation around this level and the so should resume its upwards path seen it many times before. | blueball
12/7/2023 12:32 | The initial surge on extraordinary volume, driven by stablising business fundamentals and removal of a key uncertainty looks like a turning point to me. Accompanied by a very modest valuation, reasonable initial market purchase by the new chair makes me feel comfortable taking a small position here. An initial rally of the sort seen two weeks ago is in my experience usually the first part of a larger move, and I am looking for a continuation to 70-80p over the next 3 months. All IMHO. | indalo
12/7/2023 12:01 | So with all the hedging going on the share is not behaving in a normal manner. I suppose it’s a waiting game until tangible good news comes out of DLR whenever that is likely to be. | mickyl |
