Crystal amber tweetWe've increased our shareholding in De La Rue from 10% to 15.2%. With a market cap of less than £100 million, the shares trade on just 0.3 times next year's revenues and a PE of 7. However, we think the strategic value is far higher.

Hopefully this will generate more buyers to get off the fence. I’d love to know what Crystal Ambers exit number is.

Yes I see it Simmsc. When did that come through on the trading board. I must have missed it. They want a seat at the table to dictate future plays I think.

Activist investor Crystal Amber increases stake from 9.95 to 15.20 percent. Blue Horseshoe loves De La Rue

Does anyone have a feel for what Schroder/Aberforth and Crystal Amber breakeven point is? I know they’ve bought heavily recently so averaging down but they’ve held for a long time. Their earlier purchases would have been much higher.

With the Chairman buying 200k shares just a few days ago, I think an imminent bid (hostile or otherwise) is very unlikely.

Looking at the trades it seems that most are sell orders at 50p. People in a for a quick gain. Can’t blame them. It’s going to take some momentum to push through 50p and then 60p.

If anyone is talking a bid at 300p they are talking complete nonsense ..i have the busy newcomer on ignore.Agree Bluebell around 80p would win the day , CRS sees strategic value at 100p though that is not necessarily what would need to be paid...the pension situation whilst recent agreement has helped cashflow is still a factor in anyone putting a bid up for the whole as there is still an unfunded deficit that any buyer would need to address...maybe someone is eyeing a division rather than the whole. But with the new chair recently personally buying shares there was certainly no approaches or talks on at that point in time.Would be looking outside Europe if something materialises.

Am surprised the share price is sitting at 49p if there is indeed a bid coming at 300p , or is it sheer speculation.
