They also have a deal with this web site.

Vital DVD welcomes Digital Classics to the fold. The emphasis will be on quality documentary and music titles and they kick things off with the recent Tony Palmer South Bank documentary about Margot Fontaine. Also released this year is an Ali Farka Toure documentary.

IJ your AFX post is from 2002 isn't it? Why do you say yesterday!!? Slightly annoying.

Anyway at least your having scared me into racing around to check if there was an EGM (now rather than in 2002!) has reminded me to sort out my letter of representation for the AGM - its on 30 November.

IJ I have answered your questions from my perspective sorry if that's not good enough for you and it seems you haven't understood my response.

I did get the CoHse the figures as my post says but they are from a long time ago so I don't see the relevance.
You don't know how many players they currently have which is a FACT
You don't know the current financial structure and position of WPM... FACT
You don't have any statements from DTC on owning content... FACT
WPM are producing the tournament DTC have the televisual production rights

Feel free to troll this board but I see no point responding anymore.

As a sideline though can anyone suggest why previously CH and DTC used a rule 12 RNS to notify the city where a related party transaction took place...but no such rns under rule 12 for a related party transaction between DTC (CEO CH) and WPM (owner CH)?

The Company concluded an agreement yesterday with RPTA Limited, a company
controlled by Richard Price, chairman of Digital Classics. The transaction
falls to be disclosed as a related party transaction under rule 12 of the AIM
rules.

LONDON (AFX) - Digital Classics PLC said it concluded an agreement with RPTA
Ltd, a company controlled by Digital Classics chairman Richard Price, under
which the company said will benefit its distribution business and bring it
additional working capital.
Under the deal, RPTA will pay 100,000 stg for a royalty amounting to 50 pct
of sales made by Richard Price and Chris Hunt Ltd (RPCH) less sales commission
and other costs payable to Digital Classics Distribution Ltd (DCD), a subsidiary
of the company.
RPTA owns 50 pct of RPCH, with the remaining 50 pct owned by Iambic
Productions Ltd, a Digital Classics unit.
RPTA has also been granted an option to acquire a further 25 pct of RPCH for
1 stg.
An extraordinary general meeting will be convened by Digital Classics to
seek shareholders' approval of the option.
RPCH is engaged in the filming of stage productions of fictional stories,
and DCD has the right to distribute RPCH's catalogue of programmes for which it
will earn a sales commission.

Will the next one be DTC purchasing WPM, and would that then be RPCH, Iambic and WPM? Quite a track record CH has? Earned more than most shareholders and good luck to him.

Anyone know whether you get tax relief if you gift shares to a charity?

I hope so, but tend to think that the switch to DVD's was an appropriate recognition that DTC's content is for an audience which is not (yet) the most switched onto pulling content through to their device. There is though an advantage in this is there not in that the content is more likely to be paid for and less likely that the customer base has grown to expect free downloads.

Anyway, my Christmas wish list include:

1 We could get a positive news stream re MJ, WPM, sales, new Iambic productions, BBC educational, the DVD venture, new media deals

2 We could make a pre tax profit

3 We could make another pre tax profit (edit: thats for the next Christmas)

4 That Mr Elstein has the time to really devote himself to this business.

BT in talks for broadband TV service

It says the proposals allow consumers to 'pull' programmes through broadband, rather than it 'push' them out as a broadcaster.

This is well suited to DTC content as the longer classical/operatic type performances can be scheduled to a time that suits the viewer.
Also BT wants the service as a way of differentiating itself from rivals.

Call Vodaphone quick DTC

Vodafone has joined forces with record company Universal Music to allow its customers to download thousands of music videos and songs to their phones.
Tracks will be available from Universal artists including Eminem, U2, Keane, Scissor Sisters and Black Eye Peas.

The 3G (third generation) service, which starts immediately, is available to Vodafone live! customers.

Vodafone and Universal, both the largest firms in their fields, said the deal had significant growth potential.

More than 100,000 songs will be available for download "within a matter of weeks", US-based Universal and the UK's Vodafone said in a joint statement.

Ring tones and music streams will also be available.

'Meeting demand'

Both companies stressed that the deal was long-term, and a response to accelerating global demand from Vodafone's customers for more entertainment content.

"This agreement sets new standards in scale, reach and imagination within our respective industries," said Lucian Grainge, chairman and chief executive of Universal.

"Both companies are committed as never before to provide new entertainment services for the benefit of consumers, using 3G to harness the power and potential of new technology."

No details were released as to the price of the new service.

To me mobile tv could be good for DTC, not all users are crazy 11 to 20 year old.

Good classical music is soothing when travelling.

Positive movements in the online TV world....

AOL is offering free TV so will surely want content along with Google and the rest. Another market opportunity for DTC to exploit

Mobile TV also developing though not really suited to DTC content in my opinion.
