26/10/2005 15:22 | whats this blue stuff, two days running. Dont tell CH else he will issue a RNS saying their is no known reason for the current rise in DTC share price? John | johnmp
26/10/2005 14:40 | jabber: So that was as well as the monies shares paid to Didier via Apace and NM, and would therefore seem to indicate other content sold separatelyand some content was stripped out of the RM Distribution from the RM Arts bought from the liquidators? Good to see blue again. Hope this is shape of things to come, as even if the deals above were mistakes, it would be good to get those behind DTC and for DTC to revisit some of its past, i.e. downloads, now that technology has caught up and with the value contribution that Iambic can make in both paid for programming and retained content. | investorjon
26/10/2005 14:26 | I think DTC clinched a new record deal and working with Sonopress UK(Bartland Company) lets hear some news soon. | starsiva6
26/10/2005 14:09 | What Blue again twice in one week is this a new record!!! | mattt9999
26/10/2005 13:55 | Somebody still wants your shares (probably MDB) given they are Mostly sales today and still the bid is rising. Post these sells I got an online quote offering to sell 1.5M and was offered 0.71p. Might be a good time to buy a few.. | garysmith7
26/10/2005 13:02 | The Apace interims had this to say: "....After realisation of the gain on the restructuring and sale of the copyright catalogue of RM Associates, central activities contributed a profit before tax of #752,000....." | jabberstocky
26/10/2005 10:58 | jmill: Wouldn't surprise me in the least if you are correct about NM's holding. So a nice hit and run operation by Didier and Neil, buying up RM Arts from liquidator for a song, getting millions of shares back, Didier then cashing in and it is known Neil Munday wants out. Does make you wonder at what exactly was sold to DTC, as if deal was that good and such a gold mine would they both want to bale out. You have to query some of the board decisions though when Didier and Mr Munday's holdings were by virtue of DTC acquiring part of the assets RM Distribution, they bought from liquidator and still very much unknown 'assets' that have cost so much in database fees etc. etc., and we still don't know what assets they held on to before selling on RM Distribution, but you can't knock them for being savvy. I'd love to know what they actually sold to DTC, but still no confirmation of exactly was in the deal. I'd also like to know what content they held on to from RM Arts and whether any is or will be subsequently licensed to DTC, just out of curiousity. | investorjon
26/10/2005 08:54 | I think they will be private sales, alot lately, including yours jm. Unless nm issues a rns to say otherwise? It comes to another 18 million approx, I think. | beezerpi
26/10/2005 08:46 | MD must be buying Neils shares then, only thing that makes any sense, they are still going for the % then it seems.. | jmillskeel
26/10/2005 08:28 | Yes David, but not really showing the full picture, considering his connection (or previous connection) with Marlborough. I'm pleased to see him increase his shareholding, and hopefully he is in a position to personally kick ass, which I believe he will if need be, but uncommonly with regard to matters DTC he is honourable and knows much about ch's modus operandi. But a potentially poor time for shareholders where DTC is prone to being picked up for a song (excuse the pun). | investorjon

24/10/2005 13:18 | Another positive article about growing revenue streams.... Premium internet video services to reach 2.2bn in 2009 study 21/10/2005 by John Tilak Despite some tough competition from other sources, video content services will become a leading-edge portion of all premium subscription services offered via the internet. By 2009, non-adult video content delivered as subscription or pay-per-download over the internet is to have a worldwide retail value of 2.2bn, according to a report from market analysis firm In-Stat. According to the report, companies that provide video content will have multiple opportunities to earn revenues: developing stand-alone web portals that sell subscriptions directly, partnering with a few key web portals or search engines and sharing the revenues, working with content aggregators to place video offerings into a pool of licensed content, providing internet video content to pay-TV services, and repurposing content and re-routing it to partners in the mobile telephone industry. | garysmith7

23/10/2005 22:01 | IJ, I agree, a lot of reasons why so much money has been thrown at DTC is because one day a digital medium (like iTunes) would be able to exploit the value in their catalogue. I just hope that day is not too far away. | garysmith7
22/10/2005 11:36 | gary: very true, Michael's post was genuinely very useful and I wonder whether as iPod and iTunes are now on the scene also in China, whether that would provide a fast route for DTC to exploit the content under their control. It would really be big numbers, and very useful to propel DTC out of the small scene, and into profits, before expansion, and indeed then perhaps such careful expansion could be by receipts rather than more debt or more shares placed. I think it would also be the jolt necessary to convince some that their best rewards can be by pushing DTC, and that it can be successful, giving both incremental increase in earnings and a very big effect on the share price Again though a very pertinent post by Michael. If we could get such a good delivery medium like iTunes to license from DTC, there would be little distribution cost, and I'm going to check out with one of my contacts at Apple, just sowing the seeds to see if we can't germinate interest by both parties. Not ramping, but could you imagine what the markets would do if DTC announced a real deal with iTunes, giving virtually instant cashflow with no real cost, and leaving Iambic to produce more content at a time when iTunes is geared up now to deliver audio and audio visual. The share would fly. Yes, it would be nice to sell direct, but I think I'd forgo that luxury if a distribution big player like Apple were involved. Would though bring into question whether the DVD label was a good idea, but then if the new Iambic Entertainment guy produces, perhaps that could benefit if he produces a best seller, and although reality tv is not personally my scene, Big Brother etc., hasn't done badly for the company that did that! | investorjon |
