Frustrating as it having stops in place will be from time to time - you may want to consider that as the price you pay for managing risk. Over multiple trades and as time goes by, stops will make sure you dynamically control your risk (not the market?). In this game that's the only thing you really have control on (returns instead depend on the mood of Mr Market)

Festario - from memory I remember you mentioned once you never use stops in your trading. If so, I think you may want to re-consider using them as they should help save you A LOT of money going forward.

For instance, you mention you're in a stock which has gone from 50 to 200. If you trail your stops higher as the trend charges ahead you make sure that you will progressively lock in a higher and higher portion of your paper profits. If and when the share price goes into reverse you will be out.

You will not always get it right of course but it is certainly the way pros play the game (as opposed to the average gambler who is willing to let a ginormous profit reverse into a devastating loss under the guise of "fundamental conviction").

Trading without stops is the equivalent of driving a car without brakes. Only a matter of time before Mr Market takes one out of the game.

As most folks realise (unfortunately not until it is too late and they've lost their shirts), the market itself is the ultimate fundamental.

But low sell high then move on repeat bank profit fest

Holding onto a stock to long costs money bird in the hand.

IF a stock fails to break from a level it's going one way and it ain't up.

From Jet2 website, updated yesterday 3/9/20 :- "It's subject to change, but our flights programme for the Canary Islands is set to recommence on 13 September 2020."

What you eloquently describe is genuinely old news in the sense of it already having been discounted.

SPAIN for the rest of the Summer was announced yesterday.

Spain Balearic islands announce last week.

Portugal announced yesterday ( excluding England)

Greek bans added to Scotland and Wales.

All this in the last 7 days.

Cases in Jet2 s biggest market the canaries continue to increase week on week and its by no means a certainty winter holidays will happen.

The market may well be looking into 2021 but total losses are still unknown.

You Say.......

Several times I have made the point that the market is looking well into 2021 and beyond otherwise DTG wouldn’t be priced at 700p

My point is they are flying blind here and that's the bit I don't like.

In jet 2. We've already had a good portion of the improvement-in-market effect.

DTG keeps acting right. 700p being a very very strong magnet. The slightest improvement in sentiment and we should be off to races again. Still out but following closely.

Oh no sbob.
According to Scaff, Nicola is making these unpopular decisions to eh boost her popularity and play politics??
Sounds absurd but the irony is that the bitter unionist is right. The more she shows true leadership, the more her popularity increases and independence is a shoe in next year.
Boris just keeps dithering along and if he doesn’t extend furlough, he will destroy this country as it heads into brexit hell.
Meeson opinion - brexit is a disaster.
