05/2/2002 23:23 | GE could not help the Dow as many others gave bad results, tomorrow people will wait for cisco and productivity index cautiously. Will Danky be affected by these two in certain extent? | oaklandsway
05/2/2002 22:28 | Cinoib - Hit the proverbial Nail on the Head... | itstelboy
05/2/2002 19:39 | Gents, Excuse my ignorense, but could someone please ellabarate on the following question. I have just read through the accounts again and carn't understand why we are sitting at the present price. It states on the one hand that Dnk made .8p a share for the last 1/4 yet for the last 9months it made 43.8p a share, which equates to just a smidgeing over a 1 p.e. ratio so should not we be knocking on the door of £4.50 a share which would still only be a shade over 10 p.e. which would still be very cheap, or am I missing something. | ![]() cinoib
05/2/2002 19:03 | $2.87 now - will it hit $3? | ejplynch
05/2/2002 18:59 | Now $2.81 on 554,000 traded | ejplynch
05/2/2002 17:47 | There seems to be a slight upward trend in the US now. Looks like it will be back in the 2.80 to 2.90 range by close tomorrow. | ![]() mooch
05/2/2002 17:03 | Another question. (Forgive me, I'm new to this game and still learning). The spread today is only 1p. The price has edged back up again on the low of the day and, as I say, has closed with only a 1p spread. Can anyone tell me the significance of a narrowing spread? Or is there none at all? | dsmith626
05/2/2002 16:44 | What are the American punters saying? They've been very bullish so far. | dsmith626
05/2/2002 16:40 | I classify this company as seriously undervalued based on its orderbook and good turnover versus its weedy market capitalisation. Its doing much more business than its share price suggests. Share prices are virtual quantities, whereas business is real. This will come back up again. Take a look at the chart and spot the similarities :) | jbat
05/2/2002 16:40 | If price of Danky has to follow US market which is being under heavy pressure from improper accountancy and weak recovery of US economic, then we might also need to wait the data of jobless claim on Thursday. This could help to rebound or go deeper down (ouch) unfortunately. | oaklandsway
05/2/2002 16:03 | oaklandsway You've invented a new and very appropriate trading phrase IMHO - 'bounching' - the definition of which we all feel when it goes down (ouch) then 'bounces' back up - very good :-) | serious punter
05/2/2002 16:02 | Today the 5d ma is at 2.65 and the 10d at 2.50c with the 20d at 2.02 and the upper bollinger band above the $3 at 3.02. Initial trading pushed through the 5d to a low of 2.55 it has since found support and rebounded and is now trading above the 5d at 2.66. The resilience in a weak market is encouraging....... | ![]() forfaiter
05/2/2002 15:57 | If you'd bought them in 1996, when the FTSE was only 3770, at £7 each on a p/e of 37 you'd think they were seriously undervalued now that they are looking profitable. | ![]() zulu001
05/2/2002 15:22 | Jbat - what makes DNK seriously undervalued? (NAV per share seems low, but then what do I know :-) | ![]() mooch
05/2/2002 15:20 | From #951 by forfaiter The 10d ma is at the 2.42c and may well be tested at some point today. we need to prepare if the test will go that low before bounching. | oaklandsway
05/2/2002 15:06 | Jbat - I agree, we may have a few heart stoppers once in a while but the general trend will be up IMO we should see 65p in short term with 85-95 in the coming months. DYOR etc | ![]() pistonbroke1
05/2/2002 15:01 | Jbat - I totally agree with you. What I can't understand is that although the UK mms track the US price they always seem to be a couple of pence behind. Any ideas? | webley
05/2/2002 14:53 | We're at the mercy of the US, but in spite of all the turbulence, see my earlier posting, #953. If the management is sound, the business is profitable, and is seriously undervalued, there's no reason why it shouldnt rise as long as the underlying conditons are ok, which they are. It'll be a rough ride, but DNK is ok. | jbat
05/2/2002 14:50 | Calm 357, we're not going near 37p. | jbat
05/2/2002 14:49 | Last trade 2.71 - 48.1p opened low and moved back up | webley
05/2/2002 14:43 | Any news over the pond ? | newstarter
05/2/2002 14:34 | We are going to test 37p!! | ![]() 357aman
05/2/2002 11:13 | This company is still FUNDAMENTALLY UNDERVALUED. Even though it'll get marked down, day traded and shorted to hell, it still has a rosy future. Why? Because all the market manipulation doesnt hide the fact its a great company, and will reflect that soon ehough in a better PER. As for this afternoon, I'm looking for a nice afternoon rally. The yanks will be lapping them up cheap(er) in anticipation of another rise, and so on we go. To see what I mean, see message #1 in this thread! Jbat | jbat
05/2/2002 10:15 | Jag, Worth to put CEL on your watch list because PwC Corporate Finance and WestLB Panmure have been over two months assisting the company in carrying out a review to sell divisions or whole lot. Some analysts assess that the takeover could worth up to 43p per share. DYOR. | oaklandsway |
