Another good point that has been raised in regard with reduction of SG&A, which was quetioned in the CC, (this point was also raised by solis here):

Lang said that SG&A still can be further reduced not only in percentage of revenue but also in actual US dollar.

This is good, if I am not mistaken SG&A (excluding software wright-off and special charge) was reduced for Q4 actually.

One of my postings in Yahoo regarding DSI sale:

If you listen the CC in detail Lang Lowery said that although DSI is profitable but it is also capital intensif.

I can conclude that if even bank lenders was allowed Danka not to sell DSI, Danka might need extramoney money in the credit facility agreement to run DSI. My conclusion might be wrong.

If you're on about the yahoo board - they're all impersonating each other. Anyway it seems to have descended into the gutter, very few people with anything intelligent to say.

I don't see any small time investors selling on this thread yet. I wish I'd taken the 63p this afternoon, I had a feeling it was going to do this as well. Currently $3.29 = approx 56p? May bounce at 54.

Oaks, wish I had the guts to put more money in but having a bad enough time with this as it is!

Sorry, Q4 2003 which is end of March 2003 and will be reported in May 2003 but I heard in the CC that Danka USA is dealing with large corporate (related with selling its Desktop) but Lang can't disclose the corporate's name because there might be some competitors listening the CC. Wait for the surprise if that deal can be done by summer.

Surely, Q2 will be good! If you buy under 60p I am sure you will make profit in summer. IMO, DYOR.

Lets the price get stable. No further downside risk to put your money in this company.

Wait for my summary of CC, believe me Lang answer good/brave/strong questions from analysts/institutions satisfactorily. Outstanding!

a lot of institutional buying today. Small time investors are selling and the institutions are picking the stock up.

Seems like only yesterday I was buying after the last report, only to have a pullback, then bought more. Then we made our move up. Same trend, different quarter. Shorts really need to watch this, as you can really get burnt on a mover like danka.

Sigora (post 3937)

I was watching the streaming trades on Lycos, and at around 13.20 -13.30 (I think) US time there were masses of alternating buys and sells going through almost simultaneously. The interesting thing was that the sells were all 2000 and the buys were all 800. At the time Stockpoint showed the Bid market size as around 2000 - 2500, while the Ask market size was 800.

I’m no expert in the ways of the market makers, but it occurred to me at the time that perhaps the MMs didn’t mind buying the stock, but were reluctant to sell it. Some half hour later, Stockpoint showed the Buy market size as 3500. The market sizes have changed again since then.

Does anybody have any theories?

last trade was a buy but first one I've seen since mid-afternoon. Sure there were others but always a sell when I checked.

Serious P
Not looking bounceable to me

Looks like a lot of blood on the carpet, for me anyway.

The Thompson site shows a very high percentage of Institutional trade. As the price has fallen can we assume the majority were sells or is that too obvious. The 62p at close looks very attractive now. I had a feeling the yellow livered yanks would do this.

Outstanding CC, the CEO really understands to turnaround the business financially & technically as a teamwork that is in transforming from analog to digital: how to stabilised the downturn, how to put the everything in the right place and to find the strategy for growth and how to kick it.

below is posting from yahoo message no. 27477 is worth reading. I will write further detail slowly, please be patient.

My recommendation is "buy", good if you can bank some profit on the way up but I believe that whoever had paid DNK under 90 pence so far will get the money back and some profit. The time scale is up to Q4 2004.

_________

I have listened in on a number of earnings calls in the past. This one was very well conducted and focused on the institution - NOT the "retail investor".

IMO what will happen over the next few months is that institutions will continue to accumulate and grow the ownership % by taking shares from traders/nervous retail investors. The activity over the last week is not due to institution selloffs, but retail investor selloffs (which is terrific way for an institution to establish low-cost positions). They will continue to do this until their positions are largely filled.

As demonstration of this, look at the ownership % since start of the year ... it is now approaching 6%.

IMO, this mgmt team is ideal for a long term investment (12 months and longer).
