Hopefully UK can hold support at 70p.All in the lap of the gods and shorters.Just hope that they (shorters) had their fill yesterday but may be spurred on as they acheived lows of $3.60 approx..I'm no chartist but as posted before see 60p at worst.Another volatile day so anything can happen.Hangs in the balance 50:50 fingers crossed that the bulls will win the day.A rising shareprice will bring in more buyers I'm sure in which case 80p quite possible.looking at EDG my guess is UP. imho.

Anyones guess what happens today.Shorters and de-rampers are still hard at work in the US.My gut feeling is that the price is/has been taken down to fill institutional orders. The worst case scenario as I see it is 60p IF shorters and panic sellers have their way.The best case scenario is that Danka moves up towards 80's with common sence prevailing. All mind games and test of nerves until 2.30 p.m.imho,dyor.Holding for rise north again.Good luck everyone.

L2 (3 mms have turned red)1 mm left on bid of 70.5p and 3mms on offer of 73p

Yep, MM's are quite happy to take anybody's shares of their hands at the moment, filling 'buy' orders from the institutions. The small change in the bid price over the past few minutes is at the expense of the sellers only at the moment.
The U.S market is the key today, and its virtually impossible to call which way the DANKY will go.
I for one am confident in the short/long term outlook for this company and genuinely feel that yesterdays price swing was unusually dramatic and even took our MM's by surprise, otherwise they would have knocked off a few pence before UK market close.

I'll be watching carefully this PM, but won't be selling whatever happens in US. One thing that I've learnt over the years with the Yanks is not to expect the ordinary. If the price fell by 10% yesterday, it could well go up by 10% today, and 20% on Monday. Sounds impossible but expect the unexpected in America. (likewise the downside)

Prospects are good overall and am happy to hold a stock based on fundamentals and forward earnings potential.

Good Luck

jayno, that makes 2 x 100K 't' buys so far today.Someones accumulating shares in Danka.can't make out why bid has gone down other than mms games now that 't' orders filled and/or scare tactics to drum up more sellers to fill another (t buy)?

Danka closed down 19c at $3.81 but could have been much worse.May drift around a bit more over the next few trading days before bouncing back.As others have commented Danka has been there before.Cannot dispute that this is an excellent recovery play. The more one reads, cannot see any logic as to why share price is taking such a mugging except for the actions of shorters.Even if they do get share price down to 50's an excellent buying opportunity for all.I'm happy to average down from 74p.imho.

shorters delibrately took it below $3.85 so your 50 day ma kicked in forfaiter, they tried it yesterday but it didnt happen, so they left it as late as possibe today around 8.45BST so the buyers would have no time to push it back up again. check out the trades late on , as many as thier selling big boys are picking them up on the cheap JMHO, hoping for press coverage over weekend, then maybe analyst coverage early next week leading up to con call on thursday afternoon . IMO price back up to around circa .80p late next week.

i take it you mean 50dma on the US dollar chart.....its not quite gone below the ma here on the UK charts, came close late nov, early jan and early march..

i also make support around 65p (looks like we closed around his level in the US), but if this fails, 50dma here wil be taken out and gap to 50p wil be filled

wait until monday for a clearer direction, but this share surprises time and time again

Forfaiter do you really think that it is likely to drop that low. I Know graphs and technicals can be useful but it wasn,t but a few days ago that the technicals were showing just the opposite. The results have not fully lived upto expectations but they weren,t as bad as the sell of has implied. Do you not think that manipulation in the U.S has caused such a radical drop.

Nearly got in this morning at around 71.5p but order failed to go thru, I always take that as a sign not to buy so I didn't and bought DCS instead.

Following the afternoons pull back, I'll have another look next week.

forfaiter. Is that Williams A/D or accumulation/distribution?

EK, zulu001. If that is the case then the bounce is on its way. I notice it's held above $3.85 so far in the states, roughly translates at 66p over here. I make the support out at 65.

Listen to conference call on web (after it happens):

(The recording of the call should be available from 6pm BST)

Interesting correlation with fall after 3Q results.
Note also price fell for four days then and recovered 50%
of the fall in the subsequent three days.
(So rise should start on 23/5/02)

Still in shock. Will it bounce or will it stay around this price and pick up again? Where was the bad news?

True ...but combined with the shift in the accumulation/distribution indicator and a possible break of the 50d ma and you have a far more compelling argument...

in a double top scenario the peaks should be separated by about a month. If the peaks are too close, they could just represent normal resistance rather than a lasting change in the supply/demand picture

The time between the two tops is very short though, makes it a bit of a dubious formation IMHO.
