13/6/2018 14:50 | coolen Don't follow your drift! Better price today but will it last? R. | retsius
10/6/2018 23:27 | Is IHT a factor: For tax purposes, surely advantageous for beneficiaries if their assets are valued at 50% of value ? | coolen
10/6/2018 08:53 | Appollocreed1 Yes, that has crossed my mind recently. The share price has stagnated in my opinion due to the whole property market being under a cloud at present. You not only have subdued market sentiment but now retailers are under the cosh, add in the uncertainty of Brexit and its depressing. In the last accounts on a cheerier vein, retail exposure in the USA is only 2% of the portfolio(!) In the Uk nearer to 25%. Both exposures are small compared the the overall property group. Also the NAV is £103 as opposed to the share price of £58, so I think you can still enjoy a good nights sleep! Gearing is very low as well.(15%) All in all a very well run business hugely undervalued, the valuation in the US is now a very substantial part of the group, which is another way of spreading the risk geographically, and also getting a tailwind from the weaker pound. R. | retsius
10/6/2018 00:43 | Is the weakness in the share price based upon the recent announcements of retail closures? If retail is weak that may be bad for Daejan. | apollocreed1
07/6/2018 16:48 | going to test that 5600 support tomorrow might have bought a few more in auction today if i had been near the computer | ntv
20/5/2018 17:51 | It might be outdated, but Daejan is a get to sleep easily at night sort of stock. It’s 30 year record is very good. | topvest
20/5/2018 17:20 | "Large discount will close...one day!"...people have been hoping for that since I first traded DJAN back in 1972. As I have posted before, over the years the discount has swung in a range of 30%-60%. What long term holders should bear in mind is that a 1.6% yield is minimally 3%pa lower than it ought to be. Compound that shortfall for 5/10 years and you begin to understand that you can perhaps trade DJAN, but certainly don't hold as a "Buy & Forget" stock - whatever that outdated concept might mean! | skyship
19/5/2018 21:12 | Its growing, as is the share price and NAV. Think on a 10-year timeframe and its fine. This is a share to hold and forget about! | topvest
18/5/2018 21:28 | "Dividend yield is ok and growing" ------ surely you can't be content with a 1.6% yield!?~# | skyship
18/5/2018 19:09 | Well I’m happy to hold long term. Dividend yield is ok and growing. Large discount will close...one day! | topvest
17/5/2018 15:28 | NTV Never heard any rumours of a US listing. Is that just something you have thought about? No doubt that would give a boost to the flagging share price I rather doubt it as the Board is adverse to any publicity viz. no trading statements all year.No coverage by IC or any Broker forecasts. Couple that with huge spread between buying and selling in a restricted market and you have Daejan. What keeps me going is the huge disparity in share price and NAV,and the very risk averse and conservative management. Someday we will get proper valuation of the share. R. | retsius
17/5/2018 08:34 | going for nett assets around £107 maybe some news about a US listing as they become a bigger proportion of assets and rental income that would significantly close the nett asset gap and would be nice for smaller shareholders | ntv
14/5/2018 17:30 | bought some in auction last thing | ntv
23/4/2018 12:59 | Ntv Many thanks for info. R. | retsius
22/4/2018 10:01 | a UT TRADE is not necessarily from the same seller but multiple sellers in closing auction this is done by via a DMA platform (Direct Market Access trading platform) | ntv
20/4/2018 12:47 | £60.00 seems to be a hurdle at the moment, hopefully today we can move higher. Read yesterday American house price rise year on year of nearly 9%. This is good news for Djan as it has a huge American interest. Nearer home the Travelodge Hotel is due for opening in Aldgate, London, end of a huge project. R. | retsius
03/4/2018 15:22 | Sold out first thing this am - a nice profit but can't see much upside from here. Suet | suetballs
16/3/2018 16:41 | Ttte Nice to hearfrom you again! Seller at the close 4119 shares sold ! How many has he/she got?? R. | retsius |
