shares down 2.5% ffs no one else nearly as bad as that. how long does this dismal performance compared to its peers last? . its been 2 years of this rubbish in comparison to others,if the results in January do not change this situation surely questions will have to be asked of management and their actions.

no more looking or posts this year here is hoping for a better performance in 2018 for this share.

You got the message

Crest will be a good long term investment imho

Not a share to be checking the price ten times a day -- which is all too easy

CRST down 0.6% when BWY are up 0.2% on one day hardly constitutes underperformance!

THE BUDGET 2017

Housing boost

The chancellor commits to £44bn for housing through capital funding, loans and guarantees.

That follows reports that Communities Secretary Sajid Javid had pushed for an extra £50bn to tackle the housing shortage.

Mr Hammond says the funds will include an extra £2.7bn to more than double the Housing Infrastructure Fund.

Unless the budget comes up with some really positive news I am afraid these are on the way back to 4.50- £5 Mark

Given the drop, I'm having another go at the CRST-TEF trade, selling TEF to fund buying more CRST at 510p, meaning my CRST holding is now about double the size of my TEF holding.

buoycat - the "equal weight" in my portfolio is between the 2 companies. They are my only housebuilding stocks at the moment and account for about 9% in total of my portfolio. This is a reduction from about 18% (still between the same 2 stocks) at the end of 2016.

Would it not be better to diversify into another sector rather than two housebuilders which will probably stay fairly closely allligned?

I've sold some more Crest (at 540p) and bought back Telford to leave my portfolio more-or-less equally weighted between the 2 companies ahead of the budget.

Now the norm is 540p, though it moves up and down this price, so +4p is alright for the moment being.

Order book has started to be strong again on the bid side
