02/2/2018 17:13 | Showed good strength in the late afternoon today. I don't know why, as the rest of the sector was in reverse. Was there any news out today? Perhaps it was just institutions buying for the generous final dividend (xd next month)? | ed 123
01/2/2018 10:27 | Next stop £5.00 and below all builders under the cosh now unfortunately Crest has not had the appreciation the others have had. | dov
30/1/2018 17:52 | Dov - "It really is a mystery why they are so unloved " Maybe that's why Stephen Stone (CEO) got himself an interview on the Ian King (Sky) business program. He came across (to me at least) as a down to earth bloke and seemed to know the business. Can't put much faith in such a fleeting interview but some that King has had on his program have been terrible haha. I don't hold at present, that might change soon 'tho. | losos
27/1/2018 14:08 | Cannot see any reason myself ,but consistent underperformance relative to other Builders fridays price action just a perfect example of that It really is a mystery why they are so unloved !! | dov
27/1/2018 13:13 | Have held CRST for a while and really dont see any reason for selling now - PE for the current year is just over 7x and yield is just under 7%. There cant be many companies where the PE and yield are around the same digit!!! Company is trading well, forward sales up 8% year on year which suggests further growth this year. Balance sheet obviously fine. I'm a bit sceptical about their ability to hit the £1.4bn turnover target in FY19 given that this year I think will be around £1.2bn - leaves a lot to do in 2019, however they must have some confidence in hitting it given they keep repeating it, and 2 extra outlets is roughly a 4% increase on its own, so perhaps its possible. Happy to keep holding this, though I took some off the table during last year. Wouldn't suprise me at all if someone acquired CRST - must be reasonable central synergies and, if the acquiror debt financed the acquisition, the interest cost of that debt would be lower than the dividend which would be saved so more synergies there. | adamb1978
26/1/2018 15:02 | Questor is keen: I haven't looked much at this, but can't see any obvious reasons why the share price is bogged down. | jonwig
26/1/2018 13:51 | I couldn't resist buying more down here. Now back into my top 3 holdings. Still working my way through the results presentation, but no red flags that I have noticed yet. | 1gw
26/1/2018 12:09 | This is determined to go below £5.00 other builders up today Crest yet again spending another day down | dov
24/1/2018 20:19 | Indeed, what's not to like. Topped up with some more this morning. A strong performance to recover to evens against a declining ftse | wilkie_hk
24/1/2018 15:17 | Forward sales at mid-January of GBP575.7m (2016: GBP533.5m), 8% ahead of prior year Total dividend of 33.0p up 20% and covered 2x by earnings Targeting to deliver GBP1.4bn sales by 2019 | pillion
24/1/2018 13:20 | Thought the results this morning were quite good. High yield supported by a reasonable outlook. Sterling also recoverIng so pressure for higher interest rates should be abating. | ygor705
24/1/2018 10:50 | Hit a low of about 3% down bounced now look to be on the way down again. Underwhelming response to results more underperformance looks to be in store Continue to live in hope though !! | dov

21/12/2017 17:21 | shares down 2.5% ffs no one else nearly as bad as that. how long does this dismal performance compared to its peers last? . its been 2 years of this rubbish in comparison to others,if the results in January do not change this situation surely questions will have to be asked of management and their actions. no more looking or posts this year here is hoping for a better performance in 2018 for this share. | dov
19/12/2017 14:26 | not today for sure compared to the others again!! | dov |
