It's quite simple, those steering the ship, i.e. those at the very top, CEO's and the Board should shoulder some of the blame. They were the ones at the helm.Yes in fairness there are other factors at play such as the decline of the high street. JV was handed a poisoned chalice, with desperate cost cutting taking place before his arrival, giving the appearance of a better gig than he was actually getting. However, blindly opening shop after shop in ill thought out locations, signing up to ridiculous rents for 20 years plus, no computerised stock control system in stores meaning inexperienced/untrained managers blindly ordering stock and having to second guess demand without any history to refer to (through no fault of their own). Meaning they were ever under or over stocked thus couldn't meet demand or had lots of waste.Lack of investment in training and development and in maintaining premises and equipment results in no solid foundations - as the saying goes, the foolish man built his house upon the sand. Those at the vey top were paid good money - in fact they were paid very much over the odds for the size and scale of the business. It seems they could certainly 'talk the talk' but obviously not 'walk the walk'. Sadly the result is hundreds of job losses, most of those people who were only on the (so called) living wage and living hand to mouth. Not to mention those loyal staff who had been at CRAW for many years. All of whom have been treated with disdain with the Administrators statement briefly mentioning that 'with regret' there are redundancies. No thanks for long service or hard work. I sincerely hope (and I'm sure they will) that these people go on to find a decent supportive employer and get the salary, training and support they deserve in their new roles. I'm sure they will in time be thinking 'good riddance to bad rubbish'!

The problem over the years has not been nc or Jim viggers its been one individual who as bullied and intimidated senior management to believe his methods were the way forward with no experience or skillset to match his ego

ANOTHER DAVIDOSH DISASTER. NO WONDER HE HAS TURNED HIS HAND TO MAKING MONEY BY ORGANISING CONFERENCES INSTEAD, RATHER THAN LOSING MONEY AFTER RAMPING DOGS LIKE THIS. I WARNED YOU ALL A YEAR AGO IN 5368 AND 5484

Ordinary folks done out of their livelihoods by the incompetency of NC and his big ideas, I notice he had a decent pay off when he went.

This used to be a decent working business.

Really hard to believe how quickly the business went down hill here. Really sorry for the employees who had such a short warning of this, many probably have been working there for years.

The joint Administrators have offered the Group's business and assets for sale and have entered into discussions with interested parties with a view to agreeing a sale over the coming weeks. Interested parties who have not yet commenced discussions should contact the joint Administrators for further information - hkelly@uk.ey.com and cking1@uk.ey.com.

The Pump?:
"...I actually posted when the share was 3p was that IMHO it had an enterprise value of 9p. What's more, I backed that up with detailed posts."
The Dump?:
"Then, when the shares went to 9p two weeks later I posted in this very board that I had sold."

The quote:
"To remind everyone, he posted this when the price was 3p

"How high does chicken bounce when it falls to the floor?"

his next post then insinuated CRAW was bust!."

S1ze 6894,

More? What an egoist!
Still, that news comes as a great relief. I'm not yet ready for that much mirth.

Got a huge pork loin today cut up into individual steaks, cost worked out at 66p a steak. Also a pack of bacon, excellent value. If this factory outlet goes it will be a sad loss to Barnsley.

I agree KB should be involved in any discussions as the staff know & trust him, so he seems the natural choice to provide a good home to any of our viable high street shops.

As already posted we shareholders have probably lost everything so if we can save shops & jobs thats some consolation and feel confident the CEO is working hard to deliver this.
