Who would have guessed so many of our staff had such entrepreneurial spirit... hTTps://lincolnshirereporter.co.uk/2019/02/former-crawshaws-butcher-to-open-own-shop/ I seem to recall this guy had a promotional deal with a local strong man who walked about town with a Crawshaws t-shirt in return for discounts on his meat.

Playful as you are very loyal to jim viggers could you explain your reasoning as everything that viggers as put forward fell at first hurdle e.g the online w.f Burton which was a none runner due to lack of marketing also finance and Pontefract store the man was on 240k for this and then when in administrators hands goes over to Ireland and takes a role at 100k to dismantle the business i feel your loyal playful was very much displaced mate

Sounds like they are planning to recoup their investment and walk away with the original business that N.C paid £4 Million of our money for absolutely nothing. Can’t knock the luck of the Irish. They ran circles around Collett with their blarney!

Vicarage 13 the stores they have lost were big hitting stores with weekly turnover around 20k average i personally think the cribbins team are of loading the big hitting stores with the next batch going within the next 3 weeks with a value around 800k and running the rest as a small chain of butcher's shops

Vicarage 13 reference to your comment's i think mate i predicted this situation many comments ago crawshaws are offloading this side and concentrating on the Manchester side as cribbing's still owns Ashley factory and i would not be surprised if that side will be sold next year as a going concern

Blimey Scotty what the hell is happening ? Have the Irish lot bought the estate cheap and selling off shops dear leaving about 6 or 7 good shops I popped into Wigan yesterday just to have a look around while I was up that way on business and it looks great and was quite busy As I live close to Wolverhampton my local shop is West Brom, it used to be Bilston but they shut that and as West Brom is the only Midlands one left my guess is they will be offloading that one too concentrating on the northern side I really hope not as West Brom is a smashing shop that has always looked good and busy as mad when i pop in but so did Cannock and Bilston ! I might just pop into West Brom tomorrow to see if there’s any sign of movement or drop in standards

Vicarage 13 just been informed they have shut Pontefract factory shop Jim viggers flagship maybe instead of looking for the leaks in crawshaws maybe a good idea considerate on the business also maybe another player is interested in some off the estate which i think will become public very soon

My thoughts likewise are that he should have, but I also would have thought that he would have made a little more noise about it having such a large holding.

I would appear then that nothing is known about Ranjit's 29% holding then...

What happened to TWO SISTERS (RSB) holding, I believe 29% was the figure? Has he lost his money as well as I? It has happened to me before where one of my holdings has gone bump then they continue trading under someone else's ownership...Telewest being the real sickener as I am now paying the new owner monthly for my broadband and my shareholding not worth a penny! Now I am going into Crawshaws to buy meat and profit goes to the new owner, the meat is good and at the right price otherwise I would not go near the store. Broadband I have no choice in my present situation.

So that makes it OK then Scotty Putting more uncertainty towards the staff that’s left Crawshaws has gone, I lost a lot of money so all I am doing is watching the new regime trying to make a difference Don’t get me wrong scotty, your posts regarding the old buyer seems as if they were on point and now he’s gone, it’s a shame he didn’t go earlier but there you go I’m not on here to score points scotty and I do enjoy most of your posts but to go on about store take overs and ownership isn’t doing any favours for those who work there

I’m with Tripple on this There are people still working at these places who went through s rough time when Crawshaws went bump To now read this, even if not true, is a kick in the teeth for them Scotty must be getting some inside info from someone still there and if I was Viggers I would deff be searching out who it is and sack them immediately On the positive side, I went into Wigan and it’s fantastic to see that they are rebranding and getting the Crawshaws name off everything. They need to take the Crawshaw name off everything at ALL shops, it will be then when we can see a full recovery IMHO
