Typo...Institutions can consider all they want, but it won't be broken up wholesale.
Each part of the business works in tandem with each other. Customers register with the estate agent, the data (with the persons permission) is then used to cross sell across the business (mortagages, financial services, insurance).

The money is in the data.

The majority of the monies is just reducing the debt which was costing them £12m to service All the bright and best are already halfway out of the door NO SELF -RESPECTING PROPERTY PROFESSIONAL WOULD WANT TO STAY .Its failed

and apparentally they are trying to recruit like mad offering top salaries

The break up value is only as good as the people there and unfortunately they can just walk out of the door scott free ,clients and instructions in tow

High calibre CEO -Crenfield?

PROSPECTUS

This speaks volumes of their fundamentally flawed strategy. No synergy

"The Board believes that that the impact of branch closures (including closure of certain profitable branches) and the loss of experienced and trusted industry professionals in the Group’s branch network made it increasingly challenging to sell houses and win instructions within its Sales and Lettings business and,
as a result, to provide complementary services."

You couldn't make it up

Major short disclouses are currently about 3%, which is way down on earlier this year.

As you pointed out, shorts at close on 1 Aug will be liable to deliver the open offer. Not a big deal for long term shorts and still well better for them to close than on 1 Aug at 50p.

Short position isn't huge. It was about 12% a few months ago. Down to sub 5% but probably a lot less now. I went short on day of announcement. hoping to buy back in placing. That didnt pan out. Just looking for my moment to close in next week or 2.

Yes superslick, it's all about timing.

I dare say there's still money to be made here, long and short.

Perhaps institutions are considering the break up value, although that's not the plan talked about in the prospectus!

Anyway, how do you know the amount of people short is immense? I thought you said you were short. Or was it long? Or was it short?

Strong institutional support and a new 4 year credit facility, plus the new appointment of a high calibre group MD and CEO.
Challenges ahead but looks to have good turnaround potential.
May quickly move up as shorts close out.

The amount of people who's short on this is immense, all sitting there waiting. When all the shorters move off, theyll be about an 8p to 10p swing.

Yes, "strong institutional support" at 10p

This fall looks way over done.
Strong institutional support and bought by Naked Trader.
I'm in for a long term recovery hold.

This time last week market cap was £119m

Plus new £129m cash equals £248m, or 15.14p per share (anticipating the new shares).

Still above that. So what's all the fuss about?

Lower to come IMO, as holders offload their open offer shares for a quick 'profit'!

Shorters closing out. Thats the only thing propping up the share price. Most will have closed by now. Buying pressure will dissipate going forward. Those in placing forward selling won't help. It will have a big bounce at some point but we are a fair way from that yet.

I mean contracts with clients big,.medium or small especially LSH. For example Please manage ,.prepare service charge schedules collect rents let voids and negotaite rent reviews and lease renewals on my portfolio of 10 office blocks or indeed valuations for building societies etc

They aren't ring fenced and usually a personal relationship evolves between the individual and the client not necessarily the firm

What do you mean "property management" contracts are up for renewal?

Superslick

The problem CWD have now is that it's very simple for many of the quality staff to upsticks and take the clients with them -gratis

I should imagine those with a bit of self-respect are already one foot out of the door These guys are dealmakers , negotiaters and more than capable Embarrassed that they have chanced their careers to a set of inept BODS

Rumour has it CWD are desperately trying to recruit offering top salaries to prop up the ship

Many of the property management contracts are up for renewal and where client relationships are strong it's easy for someone to walk, clients in tow and be gratefully received by A N Other estate agent and offered some equity to boot without the added burden of debt .It's the way it's always been

Poor old Long I bet he has been desperate to go quicker than a Royal Mail Express letter.Made to sit in the naughty chair until this private investor shafting is complete . Even forced to stick his mit in his own pocket

All the brands will be peeling off keen to put some clear water from the CWD name Opportunity for Oaktree to make a quick buck in the break up They will have to be quick mind

you have got shorters closing out at the moment. Its the only thing propping the price up. They will also have to buy back their positions re open offer so that will give it extended buying interest. Will fade in a week or so. No one will really be buying it for a recovery in the market. They are structurally a bit screwed from Purplebricks on the one side and then having a huge cost base to deal with on the other.
