If the gubbermint of Nicaragua should be getting a slice of the action via taxation (or whatever) then they'll start getting cheesed off if this thing drags on.

The government could also pressure cnr’s zero production

CNR went to drill in the middle of many artisan miners, believing it would easily and cheaply buy them. It would be ironic if CNR would buy the miner's land on their terms and the miners are the ones that benefit the most.

I do not agree with: "junior explorers with no actual mine building experience are to be studiously avoided in future"
it depends on the jurisdiction
CNR share price would be doing very well if CNR assets were in a remote area of Australia or Morocco.
The main issues are the Nicaraguan government's actions and the miners' rights; MC overlooked both and has not reported on them in detail.

Oh my god. The Fresh Prince of Bell-End is finally waking up and smelling the roses.

We all need to work together to help him through this difficult transition to reality 🤣

888 - i agree with first part of your post - look people are fed up and then some and rightly or wrongly MC is copping a lot of flak for his part in this.
However the co have stated that there is only one serious bidder at the table now with the other one having withdrawn.

At 18.5 months and costing us $8 million in running costs they must now announce a deal or declare the process over.

Frankly i dont see why Hannan should be in line for a multi million £ payout when they
have done nothing to effect a timely sale. What real value have they added here?

I would argue that every month that passes now makes our position markedly worse.Note to self - junior explorers with no actual mine building experience are to be studiously avoided in future!

It just adds to the shonkiness though. Even Prince Scarlett is starting to realise.

Sounds like a nutter because even if true it is of no interest to CNR shareholders. Opening an account on lse 3 days ago for the sole purpose of making defamatory allegations regarding Mark Child is bizarre behaviour.
Jim Mellon is running the sale process and I suspect Mark doesn’t have much of a say on the price.
He can’t know as a fact that there is only one party left in the process so his whole rant is totally pointless and lse were right to remove asap.

Thanks zang.

Sounds like a bit of a rant. An accident 12 years ago. Seriously ? The only bit I'm interested in is the bit about there being only one interested party remaining in the 'sale' process.

Something isn't right that's for sure. This has gone on for far too long for there not to be a problem.

Nothing that surprises me.
Those who did not filter me here (:-)) know since years (!) what goes on with CNR, but somehow instead of listening people love shooting messengers

If the dictator imprisoned his brother and then is not providing him with the best medical care available in the country, sending him to a military hospital...what can we expect from any negotiations among CNR, the Chinese, the artisanal miners (some appear to have disputes with condor), and the government whose tentacles reaches all the stakeholders including the justice department?

The BRICKs' preference for gold over US bonds is significantly devaluing the US dollar against gold, a trend that will continue due to political and fiscal reasons.
So, probably the USA will have high interest rates for a while
Gold has gone from 35 dollars to 2350 in a few decades. It will reach $10000; it may be quicker than many anticipate.
Silver is an industrial metal more linked to new solar farms and electronics than gold. The shortfall in silver production is substantial, and some vault banks are heavily short in silver contracts; hence, the price movements will probably be violent. Mexico's mining policy may affect silver prices in the following years, and the USA is concerned with Mexico's new political landscape.
