24/6/2021 17:46 | Two Decades, sure is Long term. I learnt my lesson re Long Term around Two Decades ago, one company I bought into went from 50p to 2600p in two years, I was working and too busy to notice the climb or the subsequent fall after a promising drug fell at the last hurdle. I got out at 16p a share because I kept thinking it would recover. A 2nd punt at 50p a share was Pace Mirco. I didn't ignore that one but I did retire early at 52 on the proceeds :) I don't Frown on Long term Investment, but at my age I don't need the Pension pot so it's just about making cash work to produce more. Good Luck :)) | gbh2
24/6/2021 17:00 | Big Cat, purely tongue in cheek! I'm all in here currently, but on a personal level, over the last year, have found it best to sell on results and sit on my hands for a while! | dancing piranha
24/6/2021 16:33 | some of my stocks I have held for 2 decades. (have sort given some details about my age there I guess) | undervaluedassets
24/6/2021 16:25 | Age is a determining factor, the concept of Long Term to a 20 year old is completely different to that of a 70 year old :)) | gbh2
24/6/2021 15:52 | I think there are some very short-term traders on this board. Which is odd as this stock is not only cheap but This is a stock with very sound long-term characteristics. | undervaluedassets
24/6/2021 15:26 | Dancing Piranha - is that insider information? | big_cat
24/6/2021 15:08 | Thankfully I'm not a long term holder, on this occasion I held onto half my holding for the Results when I should have sold the lot before. It'll come good in August and I'll be out once more. | gbh2
24/6/2021 15:00 | Investors often want cash out to cover unexpected costs and no Long Term investor can possibly be happy with the thought they might want cash when the share price is in a 12% decline. | 50plus
24/6/2021 07:38 | CMC is up only a modest 80% since flotation but is up 500% off the lows. hence the recent post results profit-taking and share price softness. The underlying performance of the business more accurately reflects what is going on with profits quadrupling since flotation It may go lower, but given everything, it creates a greater opportunity for the long-termer to pick up a few more on the cheap. meanwhile, holders and new investors alike will get paid 7% to wait for a more appropriate rating. | undervaluedassets
23/6/2021 23:13 | 6% divi 12% loss on capital value. | gbh2
23/6/2021 16:14 | Obviously, the profit warning is due any day now!! | dancing piranha
19/6/2021 14:02 | You'll never time it perfectly. A decent long term investment but even as a trader, I believe anything below 500 is a good entry price | growthpotential
18/6/2021 11:12 | Decent top up for me at 456. Good luck all. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
18/6/2021 10:12 | Thanks John. | xamf
18/6/2021 09:43 | Xamf, everyone gets the timing wrong at times!Sure you'll get a decent return from 472p... | johndoe23
16/6/2021 16:15 | Fully back in! :-) | dancing piranha
16/6/2021 09:59 | Have watched this one for far too long now so just bought a 1000 shares for the first time. Their PE @ 7.268 , payout (£214.30 for me) and potential to go back up more than compelling hope i haven't misread this for mine and everyone else's sake... | thaisi
15/6/2021 16:32 | Auction looking grim! | dancing piranha
15/6/2021 15:43 | There have been more buys than sells in the last three days, and the price has still dropped!!! | big_cat
15/6/2021 15:36 | Possibly ;-) | johndoe23
15/6/2021 15:30 | Buy right, and hold on 0-) | johndoe23
15/6/2021 15:23 | I think this is what's called the weakness of humans. The valuation probably ranges between 450 and 550. But of course the average retail investor has to sell at 452 even though that's the bottom end of fair value. Happy to just sit and hold long term and avoid short term noise such as the prices that other people are buying and selling at... | growthpotential
15/6/2021 14:17 | Thaiger, welcome to CMCX! It bottomed out in the 440's last time, so shouldn't be too long before it turns. | dancing piranha
15/6/2021 13:53 | I buy a few every time it drops ca 5%, would be rude not to ;) | gbh2 |
