I would like to know why Noor didn't show - was he told not to turn up or was he encouraged to turn up but didn't?
Either way it means that all his ridiculous statements are ignored and the case must now be slipping away from the RoI. I wonder if they are going to use him as the fall guy with his connections to the now disgraced "untouchable" family, This would certainly save the new regime face.

previously there was no incentive for ROI to settle, the non show of Noor, now makes further discussion pointless for, ROI. Settlement, as others have already said is almost guaranteed, particularly with trade deals required.

I have mixed feelings about Isran Noors non show. His evidence has been thrown out and as he was the man in ultimate charge of issuing licences, then this should strengthen our case.However, without the cross examination we may not be able to nail the suggestion that these licences were forged by someone lower down the pecking order, unbeknown to Noor and the government.Left in limbo a little.

Not a 'big bang' RNS, but important milestone for us to now focus on the compensation aspect of the case.His absence(Noor) is of greater relevance than if he turned up! All his statements will be deleted, and not be used for argument and counter argument.They cannot ever officially release a statement about OOC settlement unless the case is dropped for formal compensation meetings.GLA, but may be a bit longer for us diehards.

Certainly weakens ROI's case with such a key witness as Isran Noor not turning up. Taking it one step further, shouldn't the whole case be thrown out on that basis?
