Cineworld should put all staff on unpaid leave for the next 2 months, that is the only way they will survive. Let the staff know, you have a job in 2 months, find some work in the gig economy in the mean time.

If the takeover of Cineplex proceeds they are toast. However if the takeover does not proceed due to Cineplex inability to satisfy the debt condition for the takeover could create a nasty 'Bear trap' for the shorts. This might be the reason for hedgefunds closing their short positions just recently. Short interest dropped from 14% to 4% over the last few weeks

I take this to mean that the takeover of Cineplex may not proceed?
