12/6/2023 22:27 | Auditors don't decide valuations for bankruptcy courts And there's been a compressive marketing exercise and that trumps someone opinion on value You need to show that creditors deliberately screwed up the marketing exercise such as to get a low value; which is rather a hard argument to make not least because creditors would love nothing more than there to be something left for equity as that would mean they're getting out at par | williamcooper104
12/6/2023 21:52 | Do you trust the numbers that you are given by CINE, withou being audited??? The deal seems to shallow to be above board. | tron22
12/6/2023 21:28 | JakNife The judge said he does not think share holders should be paid ( or words to that effect) could he be referring to dividends ? If the share price goes up to say 1.8 p that’s hardly share holders being paid ? | werethereisawill
12/6/2023 18:32 | tron343, "The way this went down and the deal they structured was not in the best interest of the shareholders." Shareholders have no economic interest in the assets. As has been confirmed by the marketing process which confirmed that the value of Cineworld's assets does not come ... "anywhere near the $6 billion of secured indebtedness that exists on on the company’s balance sheet today." from: In a circumstance where shareholders have no economic interest in the assets then there is no need to take shareholders' interest into account. 12/6/2023 18:25 | SupeARich, ==================== "Still not seeing any evidence of any nature from any source that discounts the possibility of all existing Shareholders retaining existing Shares in the new Business, albeit as a much, much lower percentage, e.g. all existing Equity amounting to perhaps as little as 2.5% of the new Business... which in real-terms would definitely mean 'no recovery (from the current extreme 97-99% loss making position) for existing Shareholders'. ==================== Have you not read the numerous RNSs from the company where Cineworld have told shareholders: "in light of the level of existing debt that is proposed to be released under the Group Chapter 11 Companies' plan of reorganisation, the Proposed Restructuring does not provide for any recovery for holders of Cineworld's existing equity interests." eg: Alternatively you could read the latest version of the Plan eg: and: and confirm for yourself that the Plan contains NO PROVISION for shareholders to receive anything OR if none of that's enough you can listen to Judge Isgur very politely explain why he thinks it's "almost impossible to imagine why shareholders should get paid" [quote] in this recording: CNNWQ - Shareholder Committee Rejected If, after that, you still can't see the evidence then I suggest that it must be because you must have your eyes closed or have your head in the sand! 12/6/2023 18:12 | @SupeARich Understood. This is why the motions have been filed with the court. It's all on the docket on public record for everyone to review. All the details are there. sometimes in life people have no incentive to change a course of action unless they are challenged through the proper legal channels. We lawyered up... we did that. Just because historically things were done a certain way, doesnt make it right. If that was the case slavery would still exist. And to the other mental midgets that had something to say.... I respond by this: The way this went down and the deal they structured was not in the best interest of the shareholders. | tron343
12/6/2023 18:03 | Personally, I am hoping that the fair market value of CINE is more than presented, and that we get a fair and neutral 3rd party to perform this valuation, and that there is enough equity / company value to restructure the current deal. Long shot? Maybe, but I do not trust Mooky's and the BOD at this point. And this is just one of a few issues raised to the court. | tron343
12/6/2023 18:00 | Tron343 sat at home hiding his letters and emails from the wife so she can't see how much he's lost.Praying the lawyers get him a pay out to save his marriage before he has to come clean. | drob88
12/6/2023 17:58 | All these people engaging lawyers because their stock went down in COVID hahaha I lost a bet when man city won the champions league finalYou people have inspired me to contact a lawyer to get my money back hahaha | drob88
12/6/2023 17:55 | Hi, There are a few issues raised here, and have been presented and are on file with the Texas court (I have read the motion filing). But the one issue that stands out is this: What if Cineworld purposefully low balled the valuation of the current company in order to satisfy the elements of the current proposed plan? A professional 3rd party valuation company has been engaged and provided their feedback. I am no professional in this matter but a law firm, and other experts have already been hired / engaged to look into this. Just because a sale did not happen, does not mean the valuation is above board. But will let the experts weigh in. | tron343
12/6/2023 11:09 | I only pop in here once in a while to find out why this is still trading and hasn't been zeroed yet. I see there is a shareholder group now throwing good money after bad because they cannot seen to grasp the facts that every day companies go bankrupt and shareholders lose the value of their holding. I always wondered if this is inherited money they play with, or perhaps they made their own coin in a non-business field like the arts or sports. No matter, the bag holder calling is one that has fallen to them and it will possibly destroy their lives because they can't follow one of the primary rules of investing, take your losses and move on. | hpcg

12/6/2023 09:30 | Dear all, we have hired the legal firm and they will represent us in the hearings ahead on June 16 and June 28. barron & newburger, p.c., one of the top texas-based bankruptcy boutique firms in the usa. They will also submit a supplement to our Motion for approving a Shareholders Committee. Thanks to the 90 of you who have sent emails confirming their support for the lawyers engagement letter, this could not have been done without you. The list is still open and we hope more of you will send their name and owned shares to support future actions of our group and of our legal counsel 😊 | tron343

10/6/2023 12:00 | In the financial world you have losers and winners . Would you feel happier if the word dunce was replaced by loser ? We can’t be pandering to everyone unfortunately. This isn’t a primary school sports day with no losers or winners . Still no votes have been cast … | melegramforttongo |
