I do not think the ceo will entertain anything less than
120p myself, the new film releases will start feeding through,
also the piracy talk will be very interesting.

We shall see, if we did though I would invest further into
trn and mno especially as the news as yesterday is starting
to feed through.

Yes the massive clue and obvious was amc, and they are up
in pre market too after a very large increase yesterday.

A close above 62.94p would create a excellent double bottom
on the chart, which could lead to a challenge of 68.26p.

Small steps hopefully higher.

AMC up over 24% yesterday in the US.

Hopefully we can challenge 62.94p today.

Yes too much debt with an unproven business model in our new post pandemic world - anyone would wait to see.Sadly

At the current market valuation Cineworld is not cheap for a potential suitor. Do not forget that the enterprise value includes the debt. Cineworld took on around $1 Billion of new (expensive) debt in 2020. It would be best to wait and hope that cineworld hits bad times and pick it up on the cheap from the administrators.

Forgot another US private equity going for Morrisons,
come on UK roll up roll up, get your share prices
through the floor so the US can buy at rock bottom.

If not the US then their arch enemy China, good job
the war was 70 years ago as if was now our spineless
UK would have lost by Dec 1939 with a waving of the white
flag.

Where is our UK asset managers with spines, sorry forgot they
are residing under the thumbs of the US, like Harry?

dyor of course.

Unless a bid comes through as with the aa.

They were always rubbishing that until private equity came
forward, what a surprise.

Most London stocks are on radars, itv, ent, trn, cine ( past comments )
and on.

They will all be bought by the US, go USA, USA.

I think that's what they call a dead cat bounce. There are better options for recovery on the markets who have raised cash already. Always do your own thinking.

It has dropped from 90p to here in a few weeks, the damage
has already been done, time to hopefully build back up.

We shall see.

Morning all, yes our ceo touched on the above in the interview,
said the revenue could have been $120m rather than $80m, very
worrying the piracy market point for the film makers.

Brilliant news for the Cinema's as Disney loses $$$$ Millions on a mass flood of pirate copies of "Black Widow" to the Black Market and the 45 day window looks to return from Studio's

"Wall Street analysts and film financiers believe that day-and-date releases cannibalize box office and diminish other ancillary revenues. Imax CEO Richard Gelfond agrees. “When other studios have analyzed the piracy rate and the cannibalization coming out of day-and-date release, they decided to go to a 45-day window,” Gelfond says. “Unless that data is very different here, I assume Disney would come to a similar conclusion"

James Bond has resisted the "day/date" release of the new blockbuster for that exact reason, Piracy has a bigger impact on movies earning potential than the revenue studio's can generate from live streaming. Studio's acquiring Cinema chains is the only way they can increase revenues whilst protecting thier productions from Piracy worldwide.

All this correction is the market waking up to inflation and the cost of debt (which can only increase for all of us). The performance in the market has been spectacular since April 2020 - and now investors need to figure out where the new normal is. Always going to be tough to recover - need some new blockbusters please!

Based my idea on a takeout bid @ 78 pence on previous information

However due to the continued uncertainty as to PRC intervention and the likelihood of further squabbling between the States and China as to how things will proceed think this is now unlikely (but never say never)

The certain upsurge in covid cases with all the subsequent ramifications for the leisure and retail sectors is going to add to the further pressures on the share prices.

Some I think will have bitten the bullet swallowed their losses and will be licking their wounds.

To all the others I would say good luck hope it all works out. "Intermission"

Yes; as you're covenant weekens your debt falls as it's discounted at higher marginal cost of debt Remembering banks doing this in 2009/10
