"It was Cineworld, however, which knocked it out of the park, rising 14.9 per cent, or 8.68p, to 67.06p after chief rival Odeon said it welcomed 1m customers to its cinemas across Europe last week, signalling that people are still keen to go and see films on the big screen."

The Times is saying avoid netflix ( citywire ).

Could netflix be approaching cine to have viewers at home
and at the cinema, it does make sense, but we shall see?

dyor a must.

Can you quantify "a lot of interest" please?
Is that 10,000, 50,000 individuals posting and investing?

Wowza, lot of interest now on Reddit today, the thread is growing in numbers FAST

This looks as if it's being targeted now to burn the short seller's as they've done on the AMC stock, 1200% makes our 14% look low, but then that's how the AMC stock started and within days wooooooooosh.

A lot of German and European Investors on the thread too, remember this is a global stock

Squeaky bum time for all the shorters :-)

The share price will go up and down, and it won't say anything about the long term trajectory of the company's value. That will be determined by the revenues and whether they are enough to pay off the debts. In the mean time trade the chart in the direction you think that trajectory is destined - no excuse for not making and taking profits whichever way.

Just caught up with my son after he watched the Long Grass 2 at Stevenage (1:30)... Audience was a good mixture of teens and adults and approx 2/3 full. Not bad for a mid week showing when the weather outside was 28degrees?

Nice little rise today and lets hope for more to come.

Drinkdoctor. Breaks a pandemic record !!. The June 2021 US total box office was $399,293,640 this does not compare well with the June 2019 US box office total of $1,149,119,141 it is about 35% of it. Cineworld's base case scenario requires 60% of 2019 levels. Cineworld's half yearly announcement on 12th August should be interesting, to say the least. source boxofficemojo.
