Increased my short today. A quarter of the shareholders against the remuneration report. I guess they might choose to stop being shareholders. It is heading for an inevitable restructuring, just about the path the share price takes on the way there.

US box office figures look awful at the moment. according to box office mojo the total US box office for the weekend May 7-9 (currently) is just $23,665,349.
To give some perspective May 10-12 2019 was $168,253,370 and May 3-5 2019 was $199,858,498.

Lets hope so, I would like to see shorter weeks for each film
and more of them, instead of busy-ish few weeks, do less but
busy. I feel this can be done as the film industry will be making
more films to catch up.

We shall see.

Vue CEO just said they normally operate at 20% occupancy so he is happy with the 50% for Monday. DYOR.I'm expecting a big share price move next week.

Lets hope we have some good positive headlines once the cinemas
open next week. A decent statement would do wonders for the
industry like my sdry.

The Movie theaters in the USA do not appear to be doing particularly well, they represent around 75% of Cineworld's market. According to box office Mojo currently the total US box office weekend revenue fell by 57.7% from Apr 23-25 to Apr 30-May 2 and was $24,099,591. Out of interest, but not for direct comparison as not all the Movie theaters are currently open, in 2019 the weekend revenue was $199,858,498 for the weekend May 3-5 2019 (it was $402,087,399 for the weekend apr 26-28 2019 with the release of avengers: endgame).

And 14% of cine, thanks to the Western shorters assisting them,
as the BOE Mr Bailey has stated just stop. The Western shorters
should hang their heads in shame helping the East. Maybe the shorters
should be named and shamed via social media and let the people decide.

Who is to say they want to sell, they could just continue
to buy upto 30% and then who knows. Card update today stating
after opening, it is doing better than expected. Cine could
do well too, we shall see come 17 May onwards.

1happyinvestor - only worth double if they can sell them. If they are the only buyer then that won't go well. Or they could hang on for the refi.

spractive - CINE is basically an American company. I would suggest Jangho have mistaken an active cinema audience at home for a worldwide phenomenon, which would be an error of judgement.
