28/3/2021 23:03 | I have traded this share. I would not consider holding it long term due to the many existential risks that are mentioned in the recent 2020 preliminary annual report. So active, am I to understand that you have been ramping the share price from the 20p's, encouraging newbie investors to buy the share, stoking the FOMO, just so you can gain at their expense ? | lthtrust
28/3/2021 19:39 | You have your view I have mine, nice percentage from the 20p's for me, what is your short making? Just a question. active | srpactive
28/3/2021 15:57 | Yes exactly. The 2020 loss before tax of $3,007.9 million shows the damage that the pandemic has caused. Cineworld has been borrowing (expensive) money just to service it's debts (pay interest) and lease liabilities. Cineworld can only hope and pray that admissions and revenues recover to near pre-covid levels. I still find it interesting that cineworld state "Before COVID-19, the 2019 global box office reached an all-time record of $42.5bn". Given that a large part of the 2019 global box office was the $9.2 Billion Chinese box office which was an all time high. Cineworld do not have any cinemas in China. | lthtrust
28/3/2021 06:30 | I have a few questions guys. How is it that we have bullish views on here when the Company itself has raised severe doubts over its ability as a going concern? I just don’t get how on a daily basis you can sell your hype of this business. Surely at some point in the not too distant future, when reality sets in, the share price will retest last years lows, and eventually be priced for failure? Ask yourselves this simple question, can this business ever generate sufficient profit moving forward to repay the debt burden that they now have? If it was hard before COVID then what about now with no future certainty around sales? Even a new start within the industry carrying small debt levels would struggle to convince an investor that it was worth backing in a COVID world. At some point those having invested in, what is assumed a recovery stock, will surely jump into something new, won’t they? Remember FOMO causes some to pay well over the market value in search of treasure. | smartie6

26/3/2021 13:32 | My daughter just told me that Cinemas will be allowed to reopen on the 17th of May - She says it will be announced on the 12th of April 2021? Anyone else heard this? | flyingswan
26/3/2021 12:20 | Might cost me a few quid, but a tidy profit which I'm happy with. | kidknocked
26/3/2021 12:18 | K Very well done and thank you. We know the negatives as they have been written in every newspaper all year. Debt, loss of income and closed cinemas. This is the same for all public houses and entertainment venues in the UK as one paper stated today £180bn of debt raised. Now I wait for any positive, possible opening, income and profit. I wait for the newspaper pictures of lots of people entering cinemas and pubs etc in May, with hopefully super positive headlines. active | srpactive
26/3/2021 12:16 | Im out, just for the time being and see what happens this afternoon. Good luck ! | kidknocked
26/3/2021 12:05 | Here they are the cineworld haters, just woke up I see. Either that or corbyn lovers. active | srpactive
26/3/2021 11:36 | c Yes completely agree, if you have plenty of earned income from many different avenues, life is a retirement. Wonderful. active | srpactive
26/3/2021 11:26 | Aristocrats have no trouble dealing with extra leisure time. But the brainwashed peasant working classes are conditioned to feel guilty unless they are working. For someone with class and breeding retirement is easy, but for the lower orders it is difficult. It is all a matter of class. | careful
26/3/2021 11:21 | Yes I have been told the same for retirement, once you get there after a few weeks you are bored daft and get a small job. Your posts are what I have been saying for months, loved the day with all the negative posts yesterday, as I said it was a sign. dyor active | srpactive
26/3/2021 11:12 | Indeed Kidknocked. Its a nice increase pre weekend news perhaps? My own thoughts re: returning patrons is this. I agree that the options to watch movies during Covid has been excellent news for the likes of Netflix et-al but I firmly believe people will want to get back into Cinemas along with Sport Arenas. Years ago we were told the onset of SKY Sports would kill football attendances as no one would need to go to watch a match. Attendance have actually increased not only in the Premiership but in all leagues below. Methods of access change but humans are social beings and time out with friends doing something you all enjoy will never change, be that football, concerts or Cinema's. As always DYOR | superspoons1
26/3/2021 10:54 | Although countries that are less restricted seem to be doing ok. | kidknocked
26/3/2021 10:51 | Superspoons. The debt does concern me and all hinges on how many people want to go to the cinema when restrictions are eased. We dont really know the answer to that so I am cautious on this one, but enjoying the rise very much today ! | kidknocked
26/3/2021 10:19 | I've been in and out since the 70's, 90% longs with the occasional short. Yes I've rode the positive/'everything will be fine post Covid' vibe as I have with my Travel longs. The Debt increase authorization from SH's doesn't worry me as I truly see this climbing now. The board have voted themselves a nice little bonus scheme based on the recovery. It will either be sold to the Chinese or make a steady but slow recovery. As always read and DYOR. Cheers | superspoons1
26/3/2021 09:52 | Morning. I've been dipping in and out of CINE with a more significant buy at 91.5p yesterday so that is looking like a good call. I'll hold for a bit more then probably sell up again and watch. Good luck to you | kidknocked
26/3/2021 09:02 | K At last a sensible post. As I have been saying that since the 20p's. Welcome. active | srpactive
26/3/2021 08:58 | Nice bounce today. Tradeable but risky. | kidknocked |
