I imagine the short stock hedge on the convert has been placed already so what we are seeing now is a reaction to the results / outlook, and the knowledge that yet more money will be leaving the company before equity holders get a look in.

Results as everyone expected, further funding in place in the
event of further covid disruptions and good viewing figures in
areas already open, China, Australia etc.

Jangho next move expected.

Wallet at the ready.

Not good:

“ The Directors recognise the challenges facing the business and the uncertainty around the recovery of the cinema industry following the impact of COVID-19, and the potential risks that remain, which represent material uncertainties with respect to the Group's and company's ability to continue as a going concern. Having considered all known factors the Directors are comfortable that the weighted base case supports the going concern assumption.

However, whilst sufficient liquidity is considered to exist in the weighted base case, and waivers have been obtained in respect of covenants which are forecast to be breached, the uncertainty around the recovery profile and the availability of film content, the timing of the US CARES Act tax cash receipt, the payment restriction on the Dissenting Shareholder liability, as well as the lack of headroom in the severe but plausible scenario, indicate the existence of material uncertainties that may cast significant doubt upon the Group's and company's ability to continue to operate as a Going Concern. The Consolidated and company Financial Statements do not include the adjustments that would result if the Group or company were unable to continue as a going concern.”

I know we are on different investment sides but like to hear
shorters views as it assists my timings to increase.

So you were short cine, then shorted further at 110p and
have the option to short further again at 130p.

Do you use charts for your investment decisions?

Maybe the analysts have realised 45 packed days is better financially
than 90 average viewing figures. Even ZB on radio 2 stated she is
looking forward to viewing films at cinemas.

If Jangho are interested for someone tomorrows figures could give a
super opportunity to launch an interest I would have thought.

dyor a must.

Increase at 98p dip this morning is very pleasing.

This has had no influence from that I feel, the shorters
closing helped.

Yes was around then, the 90's Russia situation and the 1986/7
goings on too.

I have the scars and trophies all good fun.

The debt will kill shareholder value here. Can only see this falling now the Reddit pump and dump merchants influence is waning. Some of us saw a similar pattern with tech businesses at the start of the millennium.

I like a balanced thread as long as not aggressive, I see
the complete opposite to you as I see the schedule for films
will be increased to give actors and all involved plenty of work
so get the films in the cinemas for 45 days which once the public
realise will find very full 45 days rather than okay viewers for 90.

More films more people viewing, actually the viewing figures could
dramatically increase.

I have bought right through from November, and bought again this
mornings dip.

Everyone keep posting.

I'm short again. I was surprised at the move up, well played to those that participated. AMC off 15% today, and Gamestop sold off post market after results. In hindsight I should have worked out that the AMC mania would have manifested in CINE too; the former is still up 5 fold in 2021. It looks like the beginning of end now. Tactically no need for anyone not to take profits, no need for anyone to buy in at the end of the story. Price will consequently accelerate back to where it came from.

Disney launching Black Widow and Cruella on Disney Plus same day as in cinemas is really not helping Big kick to AMC/CINE

I wonder how many people will think twice before taking the opportunity to sit next to a complete stranger at a cinema ( 0r at a theatre for that matter)?
Might be better when most people have been given the opportunity to have the Covid-19 vaccine.

I'm guessing numbers will be worse than expected on Thurs. 45 day exclusivity window is better than none and I think most film buffs will see a new release within a month of release.
Always do your own thinking.

It looks like the standard release theatrical window been reduced from 3 months to 45 days for warner bros. This is bad news for cinemas.
