31/7/2009 13:35 | Thanks Sleeven. Will keep an on those figures. Hawk going nicely now after a torrid old time and all the BB`s got a bit emotional and as a small PI it was a minefield so I ignored everyone and went away for a couple of weeks and hey presto a blue flag! ;-) Sold half my YELL to top up on my UCP. After a few flat months and Nectrus about to resume buying that is looking good for the end of the summer so fingers crossed. Bought CHLD with a 3-4 month view to return a nice little profit before topping up my WKP which is my longest play. Ta Rusty | rusty9717
31/7/2009 13:22 | rusty IMV if CHLD break thru resistance above 143p and remain above it then likely to go to 147p (the next probable resitance point) PS I'm also in HAWK...I got out of YELL at 49p though its recovered a little post Q1 info. GL | sleveen
31/7/2009 13:14 | Afternoon all. Been watching these since they were tipped by The Naked Trader and had a feeling it would fall further than when he bought in. Got in at 1.32 earlier this week :-) I have been been having a bash at this lark after cashing in my cash ISA and so far so good. Anyone have a realistic punt at where these could be in a few months. All views and opinions greatly received. Are there any other sights with a good BB on these. Seems very Q on here and iii!!!! Also holding PCI, UCP, WKP and HAWK nicely now into profit with those. My main lemon is YELL but still could be a good long term punt (I hope) Good luck all and thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply to this newbie PI............. | rusty9717
31/7/2009 12:03 | sorry to to be the bearer of bad news but CHLD have been tipped as a buy today in the investors chronical. Oh damn, back to 130 then!! The curse, the curse!! | nellie1973
31/7/2009 11:09 | its ticking up again.....and vol high again for the time of day.....something about to break out ? | mrminister
31/7/2009 08:07 | sorry to to be the bearer of bad news but CHLD have been tipped as a buy today in the investors chronical. | sleveen
30/7/2009 20:21 | As we all know the company is sound, exploiting something of a niche market extremely well and returning a solid dividend. So by definition this is a pretty good investment in its own right. High volume? This is entirely theoretical of course but if I were a predator I might be pondering whether to move now, or later - but in doing the latter run the risk of being caught out by the market perhaps moving higher and quicker than anyone has envisaged. Who knows - maybe it's decision time for somebody... | raggedglory
30/7/2009 18:16 | must admit i missed the volume but as you say JE there is substantial volume today. If I understand charts correctly , substantial buying and an share price rise is good news :-) | sleveen
30/7/2009 18:12 | yes so did I,Even though the Market is up today I agree that there has been an unusual amount of volume. | jugears
30/7/2009 17:50 | bought a few @135.5 just before the spike up to 137p :-) | sleveen
30/7/2009 17:07 | Try the Market ! | paragon157
30/7/2009 16:59 | Unusual amount of volume today wonder whats up? | nellie1973
28/7/2009 16:31 | Recently I have been investing half of my available funds into each of the stocks I believe have reached a turning point waiting to see if I have got the call right, then after a week or so if the share has risen I invest the rest. If the share continues to fall then I wait and invest the rest after I see the second move up on recovery. This has been working realy well since xmas with all the original funds in profit. I have just done the same in Chld today as the results are very good and as a long term hold should be an excelent stock. I think this could be the bottom but am not convinced enought to committ all the funds | ch1ck
27/7/2009 18:02 | Any company that has increased there order book by any % at the moment is doing very well in my opinion,& I certainly don't have any worries with chloride providing me with a healthy return on my investment. There are alot of companies out there that are not doing very well at the moment & I think that there will be a lot of very unhappy investers when they go down.Personally I Will stick with Chloride as I believe these shares are near the bottom & have alot more upside than downside. | jugears
27/7/2009 16:50 | reading from the AGM statement.. "The order book, which increased by 2% to GBP140.0m as at 30 June 2009, provides a platform for the remainder of the year and indicates that trading will be more strongly weighted towards the second half than in recent years. The Company continues to have a strong balance sheet and substantial available committed facilities" in other words its tough out there! only 2% but it looks ok for the rest of the year. But looking at the chart it does seem to have developed a downward trend and so we ask ourselves where is the upturn going to come from? Hyden I think you have called it right 130 and below here we come. Lets wait and see! HM. | hoistman
25/7/2009 18:31 | I agree hoistman. I went long on what I thought was a strong upswing but alas it didn't last. So, I have sold out for a modest profit and will likely sit out for the time being whilst a new trend develops. The current short term trend does not look good and I'm worried that my 130p floor may be breached. Like you say, patience is required here. | hyden
24/7/2009 14:11 | finding the right entry point is the trick..... Maybe 125p/120p could be on here. Patience is called for! HM. | hoistman
23/7/2009 13:56 | In around £1.30p will be better ! | paragon157
23/7/2009 13:30 | Well I am in at £1.34. Traded these before with good results so lets hope I can do it again. DYOR | lucky_lady
23/7/2009 12:50 | Wish you were right, looks like a downward trend | mrmerkin
22/7/2009 17:35 | THIS IS LOOKING VERY POS+... | s_e
22/7/2009 16:37 | Lots of auction buying at this level!! | nellie1973
21/7/2009 16:33 | Certainly, at present and compared to some, does not seem to be responding to the upward movement of the ftse250 in recent weeks. Not what you would call a totally upbeat statement from management but there is nothing to suggest any serious downturn either. No mention of Emmerson but can't be ruled out once figures are published for 1st half. | peaeff
21/7/2009 15:23 | ..runnuing out of puff I fear | phillis |
