Each to his/her own of course, however I feel that the wave of positive sentiment behind the share price at the moment is driven more by the very confident trading statement rather than the recent upswing generally (welcome though that is). After all, coming from a level of 1.28 or so the downside was pretty limited once the company made it clear that the year end numbers are worth waiting for. Moreover the shrewd amongst us are factoring in the probability - however remote at present - of another sniff from Emerson. Whatever happens from now until results day I think I'll hold and see where things stand after the inevitable upgrades, which certainly aren't in the price yet.

I agree with the reason for the recent rise. Its a great company but if the market starts to tank again these will too. I am up 27% at the moment on these but will sell if the market starts to go down again.

Thanks for that, I must be slipping, I trawl all the newspapers, online, for little snippits but I didn't find that.

However I would have thought that the recent rises have been as a result of the upward movement of the 250 rather than rumour speculation.

once again heading in the right direction and hopefully about to press on past 160p.

Stock markets do seem to be rallying so long may the trend continue. I was unable to find anything on the JUGEARS contribution so I shall just take it with a pinch of salt at present.

Next stop break-out level 1.58 - 1.60. A bullish update; upgrades probably imminent;the incidental probability of another bid - oh, almost forget, the company is an absolute peach with excellent cash flow in a diverse geographical markets...does it get any better in these dysfunctional times? Enjoy the ride, comrades.

have just doubled my holding at 149.39, was saving it for a bit nearer results time but, much rather be in than out. The upside far outweighs the downside as MRMINISTER has found to his cost recently. I sympathise with him but I'm sure it's happened to all of us over the years.


PS mrminister I can recommend a good buy for some of it. LOL

missed out here a couple of weeks ago in the 120's.....just never had the funds around me as got me wings clipped with barc....now i'm ready this is 150 ish....lol.....i like this co so will watch and hope for a dip at some point

just read somewhere this week emerson have $1 bil for acquisition's this year.....

I think it will take news to shift it significantly at present but I shall be more than satisfied if it holds it's own until declaration of results.

That may well move it and, of course, there's always the faint chance that another offer could be made. Now that would move it significantly. LOL

edit. there has been some heavy buying this morning. Promising.

Loading up at these prices is a no-brainer, given the very bullish trading statement released last week.

Yes, you're probably right, and of course there's the added bonus that we could hear some positive news from the G20 meeting, which could give all markets a shot in the arm later.

With just a month until declaration of results I would hate to be priced out of CHLD altogether, and should the predators be sniffing again who know where this could be in just a few weeks time.

Same thoughts here really .. Certainly wait a few hours yet though before making a decision .. Dow Futures currently very strong !

good question paragon. I wish I knew the answer for sure. All the indicators are saying that the footsie could go much higher today but as far as CHLD is concerned it has taken a bullish trading update and a rise of 250+ points to give us 10% rise today. I am personally averaging 14% on my holding and am contemplating selling half but will give it another hour or so before making a decision.

Totally agree .. I amazed I didn't have a few more around £1.23p yesterday ! Not to worry still well in Profit now any views on today's Closing Price ? .. Dow Futures Very Strong at the moment ! .. £1.45/148p perhaps ?
