If they hit 110p I'll be topping up, at that price the prospects of slower growth (perhaps a mere 10-15% per year)would be in the price IMHO.

UBS initiates on Chloride with sell
an ADVFN competitor
UBS has initiated coverage of Chloride with a sell rating and 110p price target.

'Chloride is a global supplier of UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems, but its growth is likely to slow as business investment shrinks,' says the investment bank.

'This is likely to put pressure on Chloride's new product revenues as customers push back upgrades.

With results out on Monday I just hope the markets will hold up enough that the figures may have some impact on the share price.

I am confident that the content will be excellent but, as so often happens, when you expect a good day the markets seem to work against. Here's hoping.

I Doubt weather the Economy will have to much effect on Chloride ,And although We may still see the share price fall due to current vollatility I have no doubt that within eighteen months the share price will recover as will all the other shares. Investing is for the long term. For me the current low price of shares is a dream come true,& an oppertunity I have been waiting for since the last ressesion,When I bought Chloride for about 18p pershare,Next/asda/burtons etc for Around 50p per share. From experience share prices will not stay at these prices to long,institutions need to make money for investors.

You may well be right.

If only I'd delayed my purchase by 2 weeks....market timing and all that. I'm expecting growth of 25-30% first half lets hope that stops the rot.

I HAVE HELD CHLORIDE SHARES FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS,IMHO WITH CASH IN THE BANK & AND A SHARE PRICE AS LOW AS THIS,IT WILL NOT BE VERY LONG BEFORE THERE IS ANOTHER TAKEOVER BID.

Have joined at 199p having missed all the fun last time from 185p upwards. If there is to be a rally in stock markets, as a result of the U.S package, or even another bid here, I don't want to miss out again.

Very tempted myself. This is bizarrely cheap now. But I think I'll hold out just a bit longer...if things have got this silly, who's to say it won't get even sillier?

Well, bought some back, having taken profits earlier when this was in play.
Ask ADVFN if UPS systems are essential aspects of business....
Am involved in manufacturing and IT services with subsiduries in ZA. Nightmare situation there with powercuts, made just about bearable with UPS

I'm sick of this market, and am not bailing. I refuse to react to the current round of panic selling. I bought into CHLD at 255p because I was confident of plenty more upside on this share. I still have that confidence, so am taking a leaf out of Warren Buffet's book. Screw what the market thinks. It doesn't seem to be driven on fundamentals at the moment, that's for sure.

I have owned chloride shares for twenty five years,it has a very good order book & it makes a profit. IMHO this share has a very long way to go,I never worry about this share falling as it always recovers ,unlike many shares that I have invested in!

Anyone holding / adding? Am tempted again after taking profits a tad early. The story remains the same here but is there the required upside available?
