22/3/2024 09:48 | Very good results from Phoenix today seem to have made little difference here. | ammons

19/3/2024 16:04 | Thanks, I looked at that video again this morning before buying. It certainly seemed bullish enough and, as you say, the boss was only speaking a few weeks back. | pete160
19/3/2024 15:01 | His interview a few weeks back said CSN are doing well. | igoe104
19/3/2024 14:39 | Don't jinx us Igor1 Never temp fate .... | 1knocker
19/3/2024 13:10 | Good call Pete. Don't think CSN have any issues, just been punished by fund selling... | igoe104
19/3/2024 12:36 | I took advantage of the weakness to jump in today at 253p - even noticed a small uptick when I did :-) I just sense that the upcoming results (28/3) will be better than anticipated by the market and should also include another increase in the divi (xd 11/4) as a bonus. | pete160
14/3/2024 12:11 | The 'headline' spread is generally large, but many buys and sells take place within that spread. Keep trying, or place a limit order. I favour the limit order. A lot less time wasted sitting over a computer, as well as a good chance of catching an intraday spike/dip if you place your sell limit orders a bit above and your buy order a bit below the quoted prices and are willing to wait days, weeks or even months (as often one is when no ex div date is coming up). | 1knocker

14/3/2024 08:46 | I haven't seen an RNS notice of the results date this year but the investor calendar says March 28th. | aleman
13/3/2024 22:59 | Spread varies on a day-to-day basis. Keep pinging for quotes over, say, a week and you may well see it tighten up at some point. | cassini
13/3/2024 22:12 | It is, not quite sure, isn't it to do with liquidity. Maybe there are not that many shares available. | joey52
13/3/2024 21:03 | I've almost pulled the trigger to invest here, but the spread seems quite large. It's it always c. 5p ? | pete160
13/3/2024 18:18 | Seems to have missed the break upwards, hopefully results will show why. | joey52
01/3/2024 13:01 | Less phantom, more Neilyb675 I think you'll find | theinquisitiveone
01/3/2024 12:51 | Good to see our phantom down ticker is alive and well! Every board seems to have one. | 1knocker
01/3/2024 11:57 | My 253 limit order to buy triggered this morning at 252.84. That is well below the bottom of the long term range, and increases my holding by 14% . Limit order to sell the top up shares at 295 placed, though it looks as though I may have to be patient there. Now to await the dividend declaration! Fingers crossed there is not a good reason for the declining trading range. GLA. | 1knocker
26/2/2024 20:56 | Sorry predictive texting chaps my apologies,I’ll get my facts right next time (linton5) bad day | brianblu
26/2/2024 14:03 | Hmm. I'm now 7% down from my purchase almost four years ago. But have received a lot more in dividends. | brucie5
26/2/2024 13:53 | 253.50 - 257.00 (GBX) at 12:29:16 on Market (LSE) | neilyb675
26/2/2024 09:25 | For those that missed it - Link to Proactive Interview from a couple of weeks ago | tag57
26/2/2024 09:21 | Look at the chart in the header - lowest it's ever been?....It was under £1 in 2008. | elsa7878
26/2/2024 09:15 | Linton5 - you don’t make sense? | tag57
26/2/2024 08:56 | Almost the lowest the share price has ever been and the main man last week saying are going along tickets boo so I will purchase some stock on his word. | linton5
24/2/2024 12:49 | The company lost a fantastic CEO, the new man decided on a strategy change, followed by an equally fantastic CFO leaving. The new strategy appears to be to take on more debt, pay more for assets and justify the purchases through "business synergies". It's not a surprise that the investor base is rotating, Chesnara should attract the people who invested in Phoenix a few years ago, not the investors who invested here a few years ago. The old guard were happy with a sustainable profitable smaller business. the new wants growth even at the expense of profitabilty imv. That said, I still hold, primarily because of the value at this price, certainly not because of the "hold forever" mentality I once had here. | al101uk |
