16/12/2008 15:52 | I would hope that the current market might throw up a few opportunities for the likes of Chesnara. There must be a few finanacial services companies out there that need to raise some cash, and not many with the cash to spend. I wouldnt be surprised if there is a deal done in the next 6 months or so. | bonzophil
09/12/2008 09:12 | Been motoring nicely of late, what with a virtually bullet proof dividend who can ask for anything more in the current climate. | pip_uk
24/11/2008 22:39 | onion, if you think the ftse is going to 1k stick your money on a nice short. | humbugg
24/11/2008 16:51 | me too pip. :-)) | humbugg
24/11/2008 14:10 | Travelling north today and looking strong. Nick Louth likes this one, bullet proof dividend he reckons, and still buying back their own shares which is good news for the dividend. The dividend will stay, and Nick reckons it will take a virtual melt down of the markets to affect the divi. Bought in first thing this morning, got my timing right for a change. | pip_uk
14/11/2008 08:18 | Chairman Bearbull supports you in this week's IC. He writes that the buy-back of shares is a certain indication that the dividend will be held. | robcoo
13/11/2008 16:45 | Thanks alot. Chairman | kirbydon
13/11/2008 14:21 | Kirby make your own mind up they policies produce steady stream of cash and cmany is effectively paying back capital from that cash flow. They recently even bought back a few shares so the answer to me is divi is safe. | chairman2
13/11/2008 10:10 | Is the Divi safe ? | kirbydon
12/11/2008 20:32 | signs of a tigger bounce bounce bounce | chairman2
08/11/2008 09:22 | Yes, this looks well placed - excellent dividend as well. | topvest
07/11/2008 22:45 | lower interest rates should mean greater capacity to return cash flow to shareholders surprised not had a more positive reaction. | chairman2
04/11/2008 17:06 | nice move today but not moving in line with other insurers. | chairman2
03/11/2008 19:35 | How many other companies are in the market buying back their own shares? £51k is tiny but GK keeps plugging away. | chairman2
16/10/2008 22:46 | the buy backs are begining to be noticeable I hope they dont impact dividend capacity | chairman2
19/9/2008 12:56 | Perhaps it was with those large trades registering - no doubt positions being wound down. | tole
19/9/2008 09:20 | Shorting ban playing its part this morning with this one - not that I would have thought this stock as a shorters target. | tole
18/9/2008 15:19 | Bought back a few again here - decent prospect again at this level imv. | tole
18/9/2008 09:25 | In view of the recent Director buying I don't disagree Gmcarthur. | luderitz
17/9/2008 20:35 | The current 110 price seems deflated. It looks to be more a symptom of outside events than anything to do with the company itself. I intend to top up as when all this business is over, I expect Chesnara to quickly reistablish itself with a higher price. | gmcarthur
17/9/2008 08:29 | I agree - I've bought some - the 13% yield is fairly attractive! | topvest
05/9/2008 14:36 | Investors Chronicle still rates them a buy: "Chesnara is fulfilling its stated objective of delivering a steady and attractive dividend yield.... They now trade on a 22 percent discount to the reported embedded value which is too harsh. Buy." | al101uk
05/9/2008 13:42 | Directors happy to make modest purchases | phillis |
