like today but is a quality business.

This area a bit more difficult to get a handle on than some others as often considerable contact confidentially and secrecy.

Perhaps easier to get news on the bigger players such as BAE.

2023 isn’t going to be great for Chemring hence the price action. The buy story remains geopolitical headwinds / growing defence budgets (especially) in Chemrings sweet spot (Cyber/Sensor/Munitions) and an eventual sale. Short term we have a dependency on the US which is delaying procurement for various reasons, growing working capital and a significant capex programme and flat earnings growth with a 15x rating. All this should roll off in 2024 and the story will look rosy. One to trade the range if boredom sets in and/or for the bottom draw. I mentioned Cohort a few weeks back which had derated for no reason and that is now back at a similar valuation to Chemring at 14-15x

Bemused by the weakness in share price over the last year. Keeping an eye on the USA but at the AGM the company reported big increase in its order book. The silver lining must be an increased chance of a bid.

Certainly hope so. My last purchase was at 270p and waiting for the moving average cross before another. I wish I had rimau1's fiddle to play :-)

Bought back the trading pot at £2.75, still have limit orders at £2.72 and £2.67. I have my forever holding from three years ago for the eventual buy-out

Rim, you play this like a maestro. Added a small amount under £2.77.

Helical has a great longer term record and
In terms of commercial office space then Grade A London is probably the safest bet - if you want some sector exposure that is.

Hi El, yes of course! I have my £2.72 limit order set waiting to be filled. I’m not a trader btw and have a decent long term holding here but even i can spot the trading range pattern! Apologies for off topic but same sector - Cohort is also looking interesting at the £4.40 level, it seems to have resolved its issues in Portugal and if so is the cheapest listed defence co (excluding microcaps). Tempted at Helical too El under £3?

And sold the £2.72 short term trade shares again, 4th time this year, just trading the range has returned 9% ytd whilst i happily hold my long term position. I wonder when we will finally break upwards?

Picked back up today, looks a good entry point and hoping the new contract win will see this as a floor for now. Should look good by year end

Limit order filled on my trading portion again. Surely this needs to break (upwards!!!) this time? Are you back in El on the lows? Nice contract order today, NLAWS munitions in very high demand as we sadly see every day.

Solid update, circa 40% growth in the order book y-o-y and feels like inflationary and supply issues are slowly abating. Roke is a class act and its reach is spreading. Bought back my trading stock again at £2.77 yesterday, lets see how we go but it still feels rangebound to me with £3 resistance.

unless the next update disappoints.

We can still take advantage of a trading range here whilst keeping a core long term holding. Once again selling at £2.90 with stock purchased at £2.77 only 10 days ago. Hopefully at some point this breaks to the upside.
