Nice bounce from the 270’s. We remain rangebound and i took some profits today on my short term range trades.

The buy case in a paragraph; “ The world’s total military spending is forecast to hit $2.18tn in 2023 (£1.77tn), with defence budgets rising by 8.6 per cent in nominal terms, or 5.1 per cent real terms, according to research provider Janes. This compares with an average real growth rate of 0.7 per cent over the past decade.

I hope your strategy works again - various 'indicators' look awful now after the latest drop. Maybe that's your point.

Bought back my trading portion, Chemring is range bound so its possible to sell up to £3.15 and buy back in the £2.80’s which i have done several times. Long term holding remains safely tucked away.

El - long term yes, it will acquire or be acquired, Roke being the jewel in the crown. Short term i expect at 15x it will remain range bound albeit with the usual geopolitical tailwinds maybe offset by dollar weakness from here on. If you trade, this is boring but i am about 50% up over the past 24 months and will hold until the end as a buy and forget. I do buy and sell the dips over at bae.

With debt levels minimal i think corperate action is likely ...whether as the aggressor or the victim is the puzzle?

Solid update, is it enough to drive the share price on from current levels?.

Might need a bolt on acquisition or two for that.

Yep, bang in line with upgraded results. Bulging order boom derisks the investment case with a chance of corporate action. Balance sheet sufficiently deleveraged to provide firepower for bolt on acquisitions. So all good, 15x historic earnings there is upside, long term hold for me (has been for 3 years now).

Huh? Are we reading the same outlook statement? Did you note the 39% growth (31% ex FX) in the order book over the last 5 months. That is truly astonishing. Every division is going great guns and they confirmed a strong balance sheet with a negligible impact of higher rates. Please, what part of that outlook statement underwhelmed?
