04/1/2013 16:41 | Another great post from Jimmy. The rewards will come on CHAR, and SQZ, also with assets in Namibia and Morocco, and I believe it's just a question of time. Some people might want to take a look at the excellent presentation by John Hurst, Chief Operating Officer, Africa of Genel Energy here. It will give you another value read across, some more technical information and yet another insight into why West Africa, and Morocco, in particular, is hot. repo | lanaken

04/1/2013 15:54 | cheers jimmy iii 15:35 Morroco Farm Out valuation jimmy24 2 PXP have just announced a farm in to 2.7 million acres (10926km sq) offshore Morroco and will be paying $15 million in cash and funding 100% of two well costs and other expenditure up $215 million in exchange for PXP acquiring a 52% working interest in the licence which had gross prospective resources of 7 billion bbls being 3.64 Billion bbls net to PXP Please see: The total cost of $230 million works out at $ 0.063 per prospective bbl net to PXP. Chariot currently report net prospective resources of 10.65 Billion bbls (before upgrade on the Central Blocks) which would be worth £2.09 per share if valued on a similar basis, plus the value of the Mauritania acreage plus net cash of $100 million. Chariot have not reported prospective resources for Morroco. However Chariot hold 16,207 Km sq of acreage offshore Morroco being net acreage of 12155 kmsq compared to 5681 km sq of net acreage held now held by PXP which is valued at $40,458 per net Km which values Chariots acreage at $492 million or £1.53 per share. The market is currently valuing Chariots acreage at NIL. The oil industry is valuing exploration acreage highly in West Africa, not just this deal but the Tullow farm in to Hyperdynamics acreage in guinea which also had a dry hole last year. The stock market is valuing Chariot acreage as NIL. Clearly there is a mismatch in values which is now a great buying opportunity. Jimmy | ![]() fairenough11

04/1/2013 09:13 | My money's on HRT announcing a big farm out deal in Namibia. It'll be a super major, imv and with the HRT/Petrobas connections to me it is inconceivable that HRT don't know the details of the Nimrod results and I am firmly of the opinion that they were much more positive than CHAR shareholders were told. There have been big games played with the CHAR share price and we all have our suspicions on this, the sub-optimal choice of drilling locations, the underr-reporting of what has happened to the 300m shares traded in a huge flurry after the Nimrod result and Welch getting pushed out. I can only surmise what is happening, but believe that SQZ and CHAR are pawns in a much bigger game that is being played out so that the big boys can tee up some of the best West African acreage for themselves on the cheap. HRT must announce another deal soon and we'll see what it is. I hope that the brakes can be released on CHAR after that because a lot of PIs have choked on the stifling of the information flow. Some PIs believe that Namibia is mainly about gas. 2013 will I hope be the year that puts paid to this belief;-) repo Disclosure long CHAR and intending to hold all until the inevitable strong bounce as the real story becomes known. After that I'll derisk somewhat. | lanaken
04/1/2013 08:05 | jimmy iii--cheers Thu 22:08 Buy Re: thank goodness for marcio!... jimmy24 11 Bob I agree with you that it is highly likely that hrt know the full details of the nimrod well. What marcio emphasised in his conference call post nimrod was the presence of oil source rocks at nimrod, as this was important for his moos head prospect. What I find most interesting is the location of the three confirmed wells to be drilled by hrt and partly financed by galp who farmed in. There is to be one well drilled on the moose head prospect next to chariots block 2714 b and two wells drilled in the hrt acreage in the walvis/luderitz basin close to chariots central blocks. My interpretation of these choices is that much of the hrt acreage in the orange basin is close to the kudu field, hence a high risk of finding gas with an oil rim. However the moose head prospect is big enough to be commercial even if gas is present with an oil rim. From a regional geological perspective, we now have a proven oil source rock at nimrod in the south and we have proven thick lower cretaceous reservoirs in the north at tapir south. Perhaps it's in the central walvis and luderitz basins where thick reservoirs and oil source rocks co incide, which is where hrt will drill two wells. Any success by hrt will have a dramatic positive effect on chariots share price. Jimmy | ![]() fairenough11
