27/12/2012 18:40 | I agree. there are still lots of de-rampers on iii - With dubious arguments bordering on - 'because I reckon' with nothing to back their statements up with. I have seen plenty of reasons for investing. | hedgebetter
27/12/2012 18:31 | Good post from Jimmy on iii I re read the recent farm out by HRT to GALP for the drilling of three wells in Namibia in early 2013. HRT announced two wells in the HRT Central blocks, which are only 25Km from Chariots central blocks. A review of the HRT Namibia report in May 2012, shows the area to have multiple stacked prospects and a very large number of oil seeps. The oil seep reports also show oil seeps in Chariots acreage which co incide with one of Chariots large prospects. The fact that two wells are being drilled in the HRT blocks so close to Chariots blocks is very good news indeed. The other well being drilled by HRT is in Block 2713, next to Chariots block 2714 B, so any good news in that block will certainly help Chariot. Success by HRT in any of its imminent 2013 drilling will have a dramatic impact on Chariot Of course HRT will be keen to hit something soon and have selected some of their best prospects first. The proximity says a lot about the Chariot potential and if they find oil in any decent quantities that will be hugely positive news for CHAR holders. We'll see, but there are plenty of potential drivers for the share price in 2013. repo | lanaken
27/12/2012 18:27 | And just below Namibia .. So Angola and South Africa are the rich resource bread layer - and Namibia is the tasty filling ...it's not if it's when ... | hedgebetter
27/12/2012 13:38 | WG. Many guys in any industry move around. Given that CHAR have worked with BP and Petrobras in the past this would explain any potential 'sightings' of LB in particular offices. The question is - what type of connection with Sunbury? Most likely discussing future deals with BP rather than 'working' for BP which has to be a good thing..right? Moving on...Highest producer of oil south of the Sahara in Africa is Angola (partly because Nigeria which has more potential oil is a bigger basket case and has a few issues to deal with). . Angola being Namibia's northern next door neighbour (for any American's reading this) gets shed load of oil from deepwater offshore exploration - 97% of Angolan oil comes from offshore. I doubt the oil stopped at the border.... China and Sinopec are dotted all around Africa as are the yanks. The brits, brazilians Dutch and French are also gettingn stuck in. CHAR are right to make large inroads into African acreage and as they say - this is the last big Oil frontier..and it's a scramble for African acreage... 2013 ...will be the year of the Chariot. | hedgebetter
27/12/2012 10:41 | All good for CHAR, as unrest in the Mid East underlines the need for other oil provancies. | wild_goose
27/12/2012 10:36 | Rhu, Already balls deep in this, no need for more. I am expecting SQZ share price to follow the same pattern as CHAR did. I have been told that the suspicion relates to LBs links with the BP Sunbury office. | wild_goose

23/12/2012 09:12 | sorry if already posted Chariot Oil and Gas's Mauritanian data room already generating interest Fri 7:52 am by Ian Lyall The waters off the coast of West Africa could potentially hold a rich bounty of oil and gas, Chariot believes. Chariot Oil (LON:CHAR) said the data room opened to enable would-be partners to assess the potential of its Mauritanian assets has "already generated interest". In Namibia, where it hit a duster, leading to a 65% crash in the share price on the day, the group is acquiring additional 3D seismic information which will lead to an update of the prospective resource. Chariot plans to open a data room for these assets too, it revealed in an investor update. The company has also acquired licences in Morocco in a bid to diversify its portfolio and it points out the area is currently the focus of huge industry interest. Chief executive Larry Bottomley added: "Chariot's strategy remains centred around creating transformational growth through the discovery and development of new hydrocarbon provinces. "Our Namibian assets are now part of a more diversified West African portfolio and we are very pleased to be early entrants with new licences in Mauritania and Morocco. "We have acquired a substantial amount of data in recent months within our Namibian acreage, which remains our focus, enabling the team to work with a markedly increased amount of geological and geophysical information. "This information is currently being reviewed and we look forward to providing an update on our prospective resource potential." | fairenough11

22/12/2012 13:12 | Lots of talk on the BB's about takeovers. I do not buy it. The share price manipulation is simply accumulation by several parties - probably up to just under 3% - so that they need not disclose. I doubt they are in collusion - they are certainly not in collusion with me ;-). Stock loan has dropped on the 75% of stock that goes through the clearing house. The remainder is anyone's guess. I think you would have to be mad to short a company whose share price is cushioned by cash in the bank. The two hedge funds that reported a short interest > 0.5% - well - so what. The massive majority clearly think this has reached rock bottom. The MM's will want increasing volume and the best way now is to take the shackles off the share price. I have accumulated significantly, and will soon sell another share holding that made a multi-bagger in 2012 - and will release that into chariot as well. Not much time left to do that at these prices because this will start moving North in 2013. Good luck to all holders, potential holders for a prosperous , happy and more importantly healthy 2013. To the paranoid - booh! | hedgebetter
22/12/2012 12:56 | From Tarles on iii - he has picked up on the stock on loan point. Analytics.squaremile Morning, so much for my last post of the year!! Lol Anyway what I do find odd is, as we know this is a leaky ship when it comes to news so why is it that with the board changes this past week did we see over 2million shares close out here? With the clearing house now releasing the data from Wednesday the day we heard about the board changes the loan stock fell to its lowest figure in nearly two years! It stood at 0.64% from a figure of 2.52% only a week earlier. The sudden drop which I was watching came on the run up to the rns regarding board changes, but why? Some may think it points to a t/o which not really buying myself, some may say its because we are coming to the year end but again we stood at 8% this time last year! Anyway make of this what you will I am sure we will find out in the next three months, and hopefully more exciting than the last three Months! | hedgebetter
22/12/2012 12:37 | Hi newswseller and HB, I am confident that there is a really good chance that Chariot do perform. My bother is that this frigging share price manipulation may be followed up by a duster on HRT's first well which may then be followed up by a low ball offer by the supposed manipulators or their masters. That's my worse case scenario. Others scenarios have me driving around in a Ferrari ;) | triples
22/12/2012 12:13 | LOL. WG is a paranoid fantasist. He might well be HUB under a different name. Maybe that last statement was paranoia...! Hehe 2013 will be the year of the Chariot! I have no doubt whatsoever. | hedgebetter
