I am also nervously holding on! Confident that full year divi will be maintained in light of property disposals, but rising oil and energy prices giving me the jitters!

Think so Rohkap, have just checked the chapelthorpe website and they are not on the major shareholder list at the moment. Good to see UBS have a bit of confidence in the company. Continue to hold (but somewhat nervously!). Here's hoping for ok results in June.

UBS have 4% stake. Looks like they are a new holder?

I'm still hangin' on in there with my (circa 60K shares). It looks to me as if CPL are getting top dollar for the recent property disposals. Time for a small top up methinks.

Yes they released it after the close so we'll see what happens in the morning. Mostly sells today by the look of it but no great volume.

What about the condition for the umbrella business to be relocated within Barnsley. Is this not a potential spanner in the works? I guess they should be able to work something out, so on balance this RNS is good news. Net debt should be pretty neglible by the end of the next fiscal year.

RNS about the property disposal. Seems to be going as per plan.

I still think these are too expensive given the uncertainty over the umbrella frames division and raw material prices and the problems facing their customers in the motor industry.

I would buy at 5p, but I wouldn't pay much more than that.

2nd time round for me with CPL. In prior years had bought at 13p (on average) and sold out at 22p. Started to buy this back at 15p few months back. Obviously annoyed with recent price drop, but on balance believe that 1.1p divi will be maintained for full year as 2H cashflow should be substantially greater than 1H (working capital management, £2.3m prop disposal and marginally better operating environment). I'm still a buyer at current levels (although worst may not be over for share price over short-term). Would look to sell if Pennistone sale collapses as I want to see debt levels down to a reasonable level. For me gearing is too high for such a volatile company. Think that true gearing is roughly 80% (should strip out goodwill from shareholders' equity). It is always a concern when goodwill is a large part of equity, but its even more of a concern with companies like CPL who incur exceptional costs all the time!

Todays downbeat results were hardly a surprise, CPL are still cash flow positive and the divi is still intact, disposals appear to be in track, I'm hangin' on in there and I'm looking forward to the big divis.

So, only 10 days to results now. After 3 mths of virtually no price movement, i think the next couple of weeks will see a bit of action, but up or down?

High oil price won't have helped the polymer products, but if the most recent broker forecast from 14th Oct for the full year looks like being met, then the c7.5% divi (at current price) will likely be enough on its own to push the share price higher.

Also, a very quiet BB is often a very good sign! Either way, not long to wait now..

Bit of action ahead of the results and someone took the opportunity to unload. I think I'll just sit on what I've got left and see what occurs.

Not much doing today.

You know, a look at the chart suggests this could swiftly shin up to 20p.

A bit of news and we're up up and away.

Is that the royal we, I ask myself. Helloohhhhhh.......

Of course I can always amuse myself. For example by looking at a longer term chart and eyeballing that 100p. Slobber! Luverrly Jubberly!

OK. Own up. Who bought the 250,000? That's a mere £36,875 in English money. Aw, it must have been just some skinflint mug retail punter.

And then there's the value of the umbrella frames business, maybe as much as 10m.

So I reckon the market cap represents just the value of the two remaining businesses which perhaps starts to leave the shares looking cheap and not forgetting they said that a couple of their other freehold sites might have development potential. I think these might be starting to get into real value territory?

Sniff sniff. £10m is a third of the £30m marketcap, and could reduce debt to £6m. Hmmmn.
