16/6/2004 10:12 | Well, there was ample chance to get out at 20p this morning and bag the divi but I resisted the temptation. There's more to come I hope. | kingdwg
15/6/2004 23:56 | test should be tomorrow through the ex-div date (or at least I think it is tomorrow and which might help explain the build up of late)...may tempt people who have held for a long time to collect the fat divi and run. I hope not as I have been in these for some time (and doubled up at 6p) but still look forward to them going higher. Best regards. | ashuprabhu
15/6/2004 19:09 | I always expect these to perform around the results but it has certainly been quicker than I expected this time. May it continue. Looking for around 22p now. | kingdwg
15/6/2004 18:50 | Continues to build steadily. I'm hoping my original view that a new trading range of 20-22p would be established is proved wrong and we go higher. | parsopa1
14/6/2004 11:30 | A very good performance today, given the downs of the market and others....really is one of the best shares to be in at the moment, IMO it will be taken through the 22.5p level. | openportal
12/6/2004 02:43 | As per my earlier posts, with this movement now the target price is 22.5p per share where it should stabalise and prepare for movement up again later. | openportal
11/6/2004 21:07 | tufty No I haven't any ptg, the last time I held them was in the WGG days luckily I got out when they were dropping, lost abit. But managed some how to earn out of them by buying on the rises and selling on the dips. Doesn't normally work I was lucky that time. I still post on there not as much as I did. Some of the regulars are still there some drifted away. One of the last times you posted on there if I remember right you were having a few problems I hope they are sorted out now. Anyway See you soon, I'll pop in again Take care Cap | cappagh
11/6/2004 17:08 | I see those T trades @ 19.5 have all finished up in the sell column but I doubt they are. A trade that much over NMS would not normally attract a bid inside the spread. IMHO | kingdwg
11/6/2004 15:11 | IC report good value for income seekers so they didn't exactly go overboard. | kingdwg
11/6/2004 14:28 | Just wait unitil IC report this next week, we are going to fly | cambium
11/6/2004 14:25 | It really is looking good as we move to our new year high. This has got to be on the back of yesterdays news about the director buys as if it had been written up somewhere today I think someone would have posted about it by now. Lets just hope the buyers keep coming and after the obvious drop off later next week as we go x dividend the prices continues to rise as it did in the second half of last year. Hang in there for now everyone and do as they say in the city and let your runners run. | tuftymatt
11/6/2004 14:13 | could this be breakout? looking good | gemlotte
11/6/2004 03:28 | Balcony, Some of the directors often buy following the results and reading that they have done so again gives me even more confidence in CPL. What I cant understand is why all 3 of them got some on the 8th and then some more on the 9th at a more expensive price?? To me 25 / 30 sounds a little bit high for a year end price but I feel 23 is possible. I hope that you are right though!! Cappagh, I have been holding for over 3 years now. I Have reinvested my dividends , even during the bad times , and now as you say its looking good. Have you got any PTG shares?? they are flying too at the moment. | tuftymatt
10/6/2004 20:10 | How long have you been here tufty? Still living in the same place a lot better than a tent.LOL I have been mixing with MXC crowd, Good Company great results but it has nose dived. Looks like you found yourself a good'en. | cappagh
10/6/2004 19:07 | these guys did not buy to make 10%,this could be 25 to 30p before the year is out. | balcony
10/6/2004 12:05 | Good vote of confidence then. | cambium

09/6/2004 23:48 | Geminian, I think that if you reinvested your divi you will be in profit by the year end at the latest. Its good to see that like me you averaged out your holding price when the shares fell. The first reason behind the drop from 35p , if I remember right , was that the expected MBO never came off. CPL then did have a few lean years but to fall as low as 6p was well overdone IMHO. They are a solid company that report the facts not lies and BU--SH-T like some we could all mention and I sleep easy at night knowing that my money is tied up in a company that is doing its upmost to grow in these difficult times and at the same time offer a continued increase in its dividend yeild. | tuftymatt
09/6/2004 18:39 | It is nice to see CPL with better figures and the possibility of the shares rising again. My first purchase was in 99 at 35p after an IC tip then they went down. I purchased a few more between then and 2001 and have averaged out at about 22p so the current price is not a million miles away. Here's hoping! regards | geminian
09/6/2004 13:29 | From T.I.M. : Chapelthorpe celebrates profit bounce 8 June 2004, Evening Standard WO years of belt-tightening are producing results at fibres, coatings and umbrella frames maker Chapelthorpe, whose full-year pretax profits have bounced from £2.3m to £5.5m. The group, which makes fibres for everything from teabags to car carpets, reported sales unchanged at £121m despite a hit from the stronger dollar. Fibre demand generally picked up slightly but the market for umbrella frames, used mainly for large cafe parasols and corporate gifts, had weakened despite the hot summer. Chief executive Brian Leckie said cost-cutting and strong financial control had cut group net* debt by more than £20m in the past 30 months to £22.7m with a target of less than £20m by March 2005. The final dividend* is boosted by 40% to give a total for the year of 1p against 0.75p last year. | openportal
09/6/2004 12:06 | Nothing in the Telegraph. Wait for Shares mag, I think it's Friday, they've been fans in the past and IC will probably give a good write up. | kingdwg
09/6/2004 10:53 | Hello Cappagh, its going great following the results from these little diamonds. Have you still got your tent on the end of Manston runway or have you managed to get on the property ladder yet....LOL. looking at the spread today it looks as though the MM are running a little short. 18 / 19 is to wide IMHO and they are trying a little tree shaking exercise. I checked todays Mail and it only had a very small write up on yesterdays results and I could not find anything in the Express. Anyone find anything in the Times etc?? | tuftymatt
08/6/2004 21:39 | Hi tufty How is going mate? long time no see. | cappagh |
