Dire Stock Market continues. If the Brexit debacle fails to yield hope, in the short term it, may get much worse.

Ceres is currently affected by the dire market and the price of the extra Weichai shares at 164.5p per share(see RNSs) and possibly the further 'block listing ' RNSs which mention: 'EMI OPTION SCHEME and SHARESAVE SCHEME'.

Press exposure of the company's potential is needed in the New Year plus further positive announcements.

I consider this a relatively safe port of call during stormy market conditions.

Seasons Greetings to all investors!

No Sunday Business section exposure that I can find.

Articles which indicate the need for fuel cells:

Sunday Times, Business section: 'The Nuclear Option runs out of steam'. Indicating a need for other clean green energy options.

Sunday Telegraph, Christopher Booker, p 14: '....sooner or later we shall face what National Grid calls a "100 percent probability" not just that our lights will go out but that our now almost wholly computer-dependent economy will grind to a halt."

Joint Venture with Cummins shows the sense of using fuel cells to power data centres, the 'cloud' etc.

Thank you for 6182.

I and at least one other poster also attended.

CEO reaffirmed he had no fear of Brexit when we chatted to after the main business. Joint Venture with Weichai obviously does not need a Trade Deal.

We await an announcement soon on another Joint Venture with an unnamed partner.

From Full Year statement: '..…... - field trials to start with confidential partner later this year.'

A very delayed report of the AGM- corrections/additions welcome from those who there.
There were about twenty retail investors there. Good that both exec and non directors were circulating both before and after meeting. Just over an hour of formal AGM and presentation/ q&a followed by a factory tour.
All AGM resolutions passed with 98%: like last year a very high voter turnout for an AIM company with 63% of shares voted. This of course reflects the high institution/corporate nature of their shareholder base.
You have to hand it to them that they are a class outfit; many companies with a much higher percentage of private shareholders and without the huge cash balances of CWR put minimal effort in engaging with private shareholders.
The presentation by Caldwell was much better than last year and more Business focused. We also had a presentation from the COO and the CTO- last year they were on the main board. Now that CWR more mature -for me- appropriate that they have suitably qualified NED's.

No questions on Brexit- last year they were very relaxed. There will be some stockpiling of the few raw materials they buy from the EU .
No questions either on any sensitivities of having a Chinese shareholder, who we were told CWR have known for a year. The new director was there along with 3/4 people from Weichai. Irrespective of the fact that the company with a director is Chinese, there is an issue when you have a situation like this with a company doing cutting edge and confidential deals with large multinationals and there is a competitor on their Board. I suppose the director could recluse himself but then again he would be reclusing himself alot. Too bad that I did not raise this when chatting to the Chairman. Caldwell was very clear that Weichai the correct partner for the Chinese market and that the JV is a game changer,
I did not get an insight into whether they are on the lookout for more development partners ie can they cope with another one over the current 6.
Things discussed.
On the new Redhill plant, £7m will be the initial investment and will serve as the reference plant. By the end of next year my notes say they will be able to handle 2MW to go up to 10mw eventually, They will be maintain the Horsham plant and as I write they are tweeking the layout to get the maximum. Fit out in Q1 and site training and validation in H2,
Getting good people to locate in Horsham/Redhill area continues to be an issue. Point made that in Redhill no development grants as there are in many parts of the country. I would have thought that the value added of what they do is so high that the key is to get a good location where it is easy to recruit and has good communication links.
My notes say Bosch to begin low volume in manufacturing but cannot remember what or where.
Comment made that the ceramics expertise of Bosch complements the metal expertise of Weichai.

Net efficiency, which was discussed a lot last year came up; reminded that the bigger the unit the easier it is to get to the magic 60. At the moment it is 50/55 for I Mw.
The 10 MW Cummins programme is being tested in Horsham and then in the New Year testing will move to the US and finally to an independent Lab which is a requirement of the US DOE funding. My memory of the timescale was that these should be operational in four years time although hopefully CWR will have received licensing revenue before then.
Asked why the focus was on commercial rather than residential applications(and remember 10 years ago the focus was almost exclusively residential)we were told that basically they are following the money as there is more demand for commercial rather than residential.
I have been going to CWR AGM’s for ten years and very often we have had stirring talk of the Promised Land which has always been very well over the horizon. We have not got to the Promised Land yet but we can clearly see it.
The share price may drift down a bit but I do not see any big sellers; if a clean tech fund decides it needs to have some exposure there is the possibility of a healthy raise.
It will be interesting to see what specific developments that merit a RNS there will be before the interims come out in March,

RNS today:

Director increases holding through option exercise.

'Ceres Power Holdings plc (AIM: CWR) announces that today, 11 December 2018, Stephen Callaghan, Non-Executive Director, exercised share options under the Ceres Power 2004 Employees Share Option Scheme, and retained the shares..'

Until the awaited RNS re Weuchai's take up at £1.64+ perhaps the shares may mark time.

'Ceres Power Expects Revenue Increase After "Milestone" Deals 06 Dec 2018 11:43 '

More than twenty RNS's since late July. Still little financial press comment.

Press exposure is needed to raise awareness of this company's huge potential and its direct relevance to the fight against Climate Change.

This is one of IP Group's top ten holdings.

Only Hydrogen mentioned in your linked article.

Ceres have the advantage of being able to use natural gas, hydrogen or a mixture of the two.

Ceres's domestic fuel cells can be run off gas from the mains. The gas supply is already there - no further infrastructure necessary for cells to provide domestic power.

Hydrogen is to be added to mains gas.

Ceres can handle mixtures, pure methane or pure hydrogen.

Why wait?

Exactly!

Just for interest.

Why wait? Fuel cells leading the global energy transformation today.

Looking forward already to next Full Year figures.

Awareness raising through press articles and further progress announcements will give momentum to share price

An RNS will be released when Weichai's
next tranche of shares is taken up. That event may temporarily affect share price

In answer to a question at the AGM they also said that the Ceres Cell can work on a natural gas and hydrogen mix of any configuration. This is important given your comments regarding Ballard and the Governments recent decision to allow the National Grid to be injected with up to 20% Hydrogen derived from green electrolysis [see ITM LTD]

Also interesting to learn that the China JV was to be 51% PRC and 49% Ceres.

Spoke to Dr Hu, whose English was very good, and he was most enthusiastic about things going forward. A good addition to the Board I think.

Weichai also in Ballard and will stay involved in both companies for some years.

The Ballard cell needs pure hydrogen.

Ceres can work on natural gas or hydrogen.

Looks like both technically and commercially the new Chinese non-executive will be an asset; clearly an innovator with 32 US patents. Still not sure what the longer term strategy for Weichai is. One would hope it stays UK, but who knows after ARM the UK sells anything off.

It had slipped my mind that as per the original May 16 RNS the second equity tranche was subject to signing of commercial agreements by last Friday, November 30th.
I note that the AR-dated October 8- refers to the Weichai signing of commercial arrangements expected later in 2018.
Good that the market has taken in its stride the fact that this deadline has been missed- not sure if the RNS this morning told us anything except that they did not repeat the words in the AR of quote expected later in 2018 unquote.
I am starting to prep for Wednesday

ADVFN 'News' is not a section I normally look at.

Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Sunday Times had CWR item yesterday.

More press exposure will widen the interest in this share.
