29/11/2012 15:42 | R&M, as far as I can see they're not ex the open offer until tomorrow. So if you buy today I'd expect to qualify. Hectorp, IG Markets still aren't permitting new CFD positions (long or short) on CWR. Suppose IG Index may be making their own market for spread bets. | typo56

28/11/2012 10:52 | SY you may be correct in your view; however, the only really important bit is whether the technology is of commercail strength or likley to be. From a development view IMO the only really new part is likley to be the fuel cell; the control stuff is likley to be failry straigthforward and not much more than current combi boiler systems and the control systems for grid power delivery for solar. So to an extent it seems we have a failry well tried means of boiler and grid power control and novel fuel cell. The only info we have on the commercial possibilty of the fuel cell is the report from the US fuel cell expert that CWR posted a while ago. We have of course to accept the guy is an expert. Magazine had some interesing questions that need answering of course. So I suppose the big question is either its being lined up for some finacial activity such as an managment buyout, because the product is nearing commercai strength, or it isn't (commercaily viable) for some reason. As ever we wil only know when the smoke clear - but if it is approaching commercial strength it would be a pity to go private. | colsmith
24/11/2012 18:33 | Check out the latest update on Spread Bet Mag. Seems that they have come round to my way of thinking after slagging me off on their blog a few weeks back. I guess they were duped by false promises, which is just 'in-line' with the complete history of CWR. | sueyou1
20/11/2012 09:19 | ps re 5018 - Governement funding - well maybe but 100% support from Tax payer for wind and 200% for offshore wind and all the tax payer money to make solar panels a good investment for homeowners and others. Against that a few million for CW is noise. Just where do you think all the Tax income and borrowed money the government gets goes - well apart from welfare of course. So they spend eye watering amounts on the good bad and ugly - mostly wasted which is why we are so much fiscal trouble. Anyhow whatever energy supply decison is or is not made with the increasing population there's always more demand than the current supply can deliver. Maybe the demand growth and the practicality of meeting it should be looked at - policy should address growth, be it people or energy, must stop sometime and go in reverse? | colsmith
20/11/2012 08:13 | Well,someone bought 240k after close....or reported late... | maxmarilli
19/11/2012 11:19 | COLSMITH the govt doesnt fund anything these days, as for energy, forget it! We cant even make a decision on building power stations. All other significant economies have (at least) a medium term plan if not a long term plan. | penny share
16/11/2012 09:55 | fisrt trade of the day and a buy....is moving up little by little lately, without volumes and with very few buys....why? | maxmarilli

09/11/2012 17:17 | If this gets sold out we may as well pack up and go the China the UK is increasingly only an ARMS supplier - good market but consumer stuff is a bigger market and less risky. Pity no one in the establishment sees this but there again ther's no chief engineer post in Governement - so they never get the best unbiased advice. The one query is what is the boards role in all this - are they trying hard on the funding front? On the surface they could almost certainly get some Governemnt funding - if for no other reason the PR by letting a potential UK winner go down is not good for the Government - paticualry as a UK minister was so enthusiastic for the Horsham factory. If the stuff is not and will not be of commercial strength then the board should make public; that they have'nt doe so suggests it is of commercai strength or nearly so. In that case if they have any passion, usualy lacking in the UK, they should get the money. PS - I hope this isn't another PI stitchup - have a had a couple of these over the years; just as the company has something it gets taken out. | colsmith
09/11/2012 09:21 | Auction....seems a repeat of tuesday`s action... | maxmarilli |
