... ah, yes... I hadn't thought of that.

If you are short you'd have to pay the divi wouldn't you... thanks WJ... that feels like a little hope!

DD this is not a growth stock, its a divi paying stock..

Conn needs to move to quarterly payments.

So.... can I please ask you wise old owls... (and wise young owls too!)

CNA has a divi of 8.4p due in 3 weeks. Are we thinking there will be a rally into the divi?

... or are we thinking that at a current share price of 106.25p(ish) we should be looking at an ex-div price itro 98p?

Hi W1ndAre you saying if they sell their 69% in Spirit they keep the reserves!, crazy. My point was if you sell an asset your bottom line and cash flow will reduce.CNA net tangible asset value is negative, with Spirit in the books!.All the best

What positives exactly? The share price is going in the direction it is because the majority don't see any positives or value at the moment.Have posted up every article on CNA, good or bad, not my fault that the bad outweighs the good.Confirmation bias on this thread is the worst I've ever come across.........premium stalkers to boot, pathetic.

Morning W1ndTrue.The flip side is a £483m reduction in free cash flow and £521m reduction in operating profit (both include CSL so less for just Spirit).Have a good day.........106 support is holding.

Is this share still paying 12p divs? 10% yield...? People still need gas, gas services, etc. It's not as if there is no market.... still made 2bn profit.... worth sticking with long term?? Thoughts?

Sadly most times with a multi year downtrend like this usually you tend to get a bottoming period for quite a while before recovery rather then a V shaped recovery in my experience.

I think £1 is almost nailed on and an overshoot to 90p possible but after that good chance of things stabilising.

Sorry to be negative although not currently holding have held these higher and lost and am still in VOD from far higher so know what it feels like.

Looking back cutting losses earlier and holding gainers longer would have made me far more money (trends go on much longer than we think) but human instinct tends to tell us the opposite.

Good luck some great posters here.

I have said it before...insiders own the Company...wider shareholders are just a side kick...remuneration committee approve insider salary on the basis of company performance metrics which is all too complicated and has no connection to the share price performance as nobody has a control over it...shareholders buy into company on the basis of return on investment...unfortunately all disconnected...

Capitalism is struggling.
Centrica and many other companies are now run for the benefit of those that work for them or the customers they serve. Especially at the top.

You only have to read the finals, the numbers their bearish outlook, then look at the headlines since then, the B word, talk of nationalisation, Conn's arrogance towards shareholders and employees, the incompetent BOD, etc etc etc, and it's no wonder this is where it is......and it's still overpriced IMO.
