Hi WW,Wouldn't disagree, just believe with forecast eps 8p that this will dip below £1 and unless a positive update (which I don't think it will be) it could fall to low 90's before it turns. But like yourself WTFDIK, so who knows.Good luck

Well I have purchased today. Yes I know I am catching a falling knife BUT:

1) This downturn has to change at some point
2) xd and Trading update coming next month
3) I for one think it will bounce off the £1, but WTFDIK
4) backed by lots of assets, this is no here today gone tomorrow company, it is a tanker slowing turning, when large caps do turn the up turn can be just as quick.

Time will tell, worth the risk at this price level imo

Hi LossesDon't know, up 18pips, will see.Are your shares here in a nominee account?......if they are then indirectly you are, or could be, shorting these as they are loaned out for shorting.Don't know why people get so wound up, longs think this will go up over a prescribed timeframe, I just think the opposite.....it takes two opposing views to make a market, those selling their longs think it will fall, those buying think it will go up.

"Looking at the group photo of Conn signing this agreement, I wonder if those calling for his head have the slightest idea of what it takes to run a company this size."

well quite we don,t, but then again that his is job for which he,s well paid for and has patently failed at every turn, he obviously (conn) also doesn,t realize what it takes to run a company of this size!

Centrica are a large diversified energy company.
It would be difficult for an analyst to understand.

Just looking at the long term deal with Mozambique LNG to purchase 2.6m tonnes per annum, up to the early 2040's.
CNA working closely with the Japanese on that and other projects.

Looking at the group photo of Conn signing this agreement, I wonder if those calling for his head have the slightest idea of what it takes to run a company this size.

There are so many things going on worldwide, all we notice is the collapsing share price.
I will stick with Conn. He has been I post long enough to understand the industry.

It's an open market isn't it, they don't need to acquire any supply company to take market share.

susiebe - 16 Apr 2019 - 13:21:57 - 17480 of 17808 Centrica broker notes 2013/14 - CNA
A few people here completely dismiss talk of a bid/takeover but if share price drops under 100p then surely CNA becomes a very attractive target?

Hi,
170
When? Why?

When?
When Shell gets the nod to buy the company off the city share manipulators
See post 17794 above...

Why?
Discounted free cash flow

History...
Centrica was demerged from BG Group in 1997
BG Group was bought by Shell in 2016 for $70 billion to diversify away from oil
Shell can use Centrica 25 million retail customers to expand Shell Energy

I have a few shares, using Morgan Stanley target of 105p

I will get back 8.4p a share final dividend in June
I can live with a rebasing of the annual dividend to 4p should that happen and no bid from Shell arrives
