17/4/2019 13:40 | For the trend investors, out of the last 20 trading days CNA has fallen on 17 days and risen on 3. That is a highly unusual and awful trend. | ![]() redtom1

17/4/2019 12:47 | People, I think we need to get some more facts out there. There is no £2bn profit. The 2018 results were a PAT (Profit After Tax) of £242m. Basic Earnings Per Share (eps) was 3.3p. This is how profit was made by each share. Adjusted eps was 11.2p (ie after stripping out exceptional items). The current dividend is 12p. Therefore the current dividend is not covered by earnings and earnings are expected to fall another 10% for 2019 to 2021. Operating cash flows are reducing to £1.8bn - £2.0bn. The dividend will be under huge pressure and the City are likely to approve a cut given the fall in earnings and the level of debt. The dividend will be cut. The question is when not if. | ![]() redtom1

17/4/2019 12:10 | Thank you Mercer I didn't know that, apparently they come out of retained capital. So with 2 billion profit what the heck do people expect of this Company, people keep saying slash the Divi and the share price will rise others say it will drop if they slash the Divi, they've all lost me. 17/4/2019 11:58 | I AM a shareholder and I stand by my comments...people die due to lack of cash so crooks like him who get rises legally from his spoilt fat chums should rot in hell end of. don't see the problem people die of starvation every day...that's IMMORAL | ![]() nemesis6
17/4/2019 11:16 | Regarding the dividend I’m sure it gets paid out before any profits are declared so cash flow isn’t in bad shape, £2 billion profit gives you some margin. | mercer95
17/4/2019 11:08 | You're voice counts for nothing ......See post 17489Filtered by one and all you vile creature!!!! | nortic 007

17/4/2019 10:52 | Thanks for posting. So basically she is saying they gave him a rise as he failed to achieve his bonus, nice work if you can get it! | ![]() tim 3
17/4/2019 10:52 | "Positive" is what I've always thought. It would be wise if he brought the announcement forward but hey ho !!! | nortic 007
17/4/2019 10:42 | The sooner the dividend is cut the better. The business does not have sufficient free cashflow to maintain this dividend as well as pay down debt.invest in business etc. Everyone knows that the divi will be cut soon so they should get on with it. The markets are likely to see this as a positive move. | ![]() redtom1
17/4/2019 10:17 | Asked the question last week of Centrica of whether Conn thought he was worth a 44% pay rise. Received an answer from Kate yesterday saying that the award reflects that he received no bonus in 2017 and in actual terms his pay is some 57% below 2016. He has also reduced his pension by 15% to align with employees. She did not answer my other question as to whether the BoD are setting this up for a prepack to look after themselves and shaft the shareholders. Will ask again today. Just thought I would share the upper echelons way of looking at this 44% award. Hope this turns soon and surprises people, but with this guy in charge it might be a while. GLA | silvergreyhead
17/4/2019 10:15 | W1ndWhat's that got to do with selling Spirit?. Thought that was what you were debating. This is not a growth stock, never said it was. All the best | ![]() discodave4
17/4/2019 10:02 | The gross divi as well !!! | nortic 007
17/4/2019 10:01 | ... ah, yes... I hadn't thought of that. If you are short you'd have to pay the divi wouldn't you... thanks WJ... that feels like a little hope! | becca_pea
17/4/2019 10:00 | DD this is not a growth stock, its a divi paying stock.. Conn needs to move to quarterly payments. WJ. | ![]() w1ndjammer |
