Just wait until Martin Lewis is in front of the judge and he tells the judge to switch his gas to BG, he will be fined 2 billion and ordered to buy 3 million CNA shares and put on community service and that's with a tag around his ankle!

ps the trading update on the morning of the AGM will be interesting, I'm guessing a profit warning but who knows. On a like for like given no Beast this year and milder wealthier it won't be too favourable.Onwards and............downwards (sorry longs, bit of a cheeky deramp there).DD

hifc"would the loss of revenue from the Nuclear side (if any) be equal to the loan repayments (i.e neutral) or will this affect the bottom line (e.g the profit is less then the repayments from that particular division)."Sorry I think that's beyond my capabilities. However, the revenue from nuclear was about £530m (adj op profit £27m) and Group financing costs were £273m. So nuclear rev is nearly double the group finance costs but it's not that straight forward. Analysts in July 2018 were valuing the CNA 20% nuclear stake as £1.1bn. So simplistically CNA Group rev and adjusted op profit would reduce 2% by offloading nuclear but net debt would reduce by a third if the sale was used solely to reduce debt, which I doubt would be the case, but I see the value of getting rid of nuclear. That said their (nuclear) margin isn't too bad, but this is CNA accounting with "adjustments" so say no more.Perhaps some other holders here with far more knowledge can answer for you.All the bestDD

What exactly did Martin Lewis say to manipulate Centrica. Nothing on Google and ITV wouldn't air anything that might bring legal action.

Hi W1nd"DD you need to do you homework re: Spirit you are off track......"Can you expand on that please. Conn as CEO was responsible for setting up Spirit Energy in 2017, in February this year CNA have stated they want to limit their exposure to Spirit Energy, I.e. reduce its 69% stake. So Conn hasn't got a clue what he's doing, that was my point. Hi jackoCheap as chips?IMO they are still too high, at some point once they have bottomed out (less than £1) then they may be a decent LTH for FY20 turn around but tbh with this BOD at the helm and other macro headwinds, why when better investments out there.DD

If someone say a good word for Centrica, then people go crazy.
Centrica is well run company providing essential services at a competitive price.
Long term, because of the advantages of scale, they should be able to secure a better deal that smaller competitors.
Although smaller competitors go in with a cut price teaser rate to 'harvest' new customers.(reminds us of the teaser mortgage rates for sub prime customers that broke the financial system in 2008).

Ask yourself a big question would you like me to bring Nigel Smith into this and we will have a high court battle into wether Martin Lewis tried to manipulate the market on his programme.

Jack,
You don’t see my point, Martin Lewis tried to manipulate the share price on his programme so upon FSA rules this stock should actually be suspended into further enquiry.
