27/2/2018 10:35 | Lets just hope we're not heading back below the £1.40 mark. After the results and the dividend it was all looking good. Perhaps this week is just a little bit of profit taking and possibly head back up again later in the week, or possibly starting next week. Then we'll be on the see saw ride for the coming months until Ex Divi day, unless something else happens along the way. I'm just hoping that this is just going to be a short lived thing and we'll start to see a steady rise, even if there is a bit of back and forth with the odd profit taken here and there. | capeview
27/2/2018 10:21 | He wants to invest in some men's grooming products!! | nortic 007
27/2/2018 10:16 | They'll be bumps in the road but we'll get there eventually. A lot people already questioning Corbyn's u-turn. | nortic 007
27/2/2018 10:06 | Yeah, scruffy old tramp. I wonder where his pension is invested, bet it's not in CNA. | gaffer73
27/2/2018 10:05 | Ex dividend being 3 months away doesn’t help,I was expecting a bit more strength in the share price too after the divi was confirmed | mercer95
27/2/2018 09:58 | Corbyn's affect I'm afraid. | nortic 007
27/2/2018 09:57 | Bounced right off the 147p mark, let's hope 140p holds. I thought there would have been a lot more buyers with the divi being maintained and the debt issues being addressed. | gaffer73
27/2/2018 06:43 | Once all this gets sorted and hopefully soon,we won't have to read this drivel everyday in the press and we can all move on and so will the share price. They'll find another industry to bash soon enough . | nortic 007

26/2/2018 22:49 | Jupiter Asset Management, a major investor in Centrica, noted that the FTSE 100 energy company recently announced additional job cuts in a bid to save an extra £500m annually by 2020 to “cope with an inability to charge a market price”. And fund manager James Clunie reckoned its rivals would follow suit. "If Centrica is doing it then so will others,” he said. “The inadvertent losers from this policy are the employees who will get slashed and burned. If the market is not allowed to operate freely then it will respond or go bust." | eeza

26/2/2018 21:04 | Directors buying. Consolidate around 140p then climb straight up to 160p. | spacedust
26/2/2018 20:40 | Maybe what we need to get rid of Soubrey and the like is a vote of no confidence being forced by the Tory rebels aligning with Labour on the EU vote. As I understand it, any Tory MPs siding with Labour would automatically be de-selected if the Tories then won the actual vote. Hopefully she and Ken Clarke would be outed as the others would more than likely chicken out and vote with the government. It's hard to see how Soubrey would have any credibility if she did force the vote then not vote against Teresa May. Similarly the Labour pro Brexit rebels must vote with May if true to their Brexit beliefs. Result, the Tories win their vote and we get rid of the pests. | warranty
26/2/2018 18:25 | That's reminds me of when BP kicked off. If I remember rightly Obama slagged them off and then proclaimed that the like of Chevron and Co could take them over. I'm a little sketchy on it but I remember being rather Victor Meldrew about the whole thing. He kept referring to BP as British Petroleum. | nortic 007
26/2/2018 17:15 | Nortic, that's probably when you find out Corbyn knows a few people who want to make some money in Centrica, and he kills the share price with his speeches while they make some dosh along the way. ;) | capeview
26/2/2018 17:14 | yump26 Feb '18 - 15:50 - 9571 of 9577 Funny thing is Yump, I remember my old work colleagues when Labour won last time with Blair. They were all saying, "I'm voting for Labour because we'll get help with our Homes and mortgages, We're going to get Endowments (While I told them Repayment is what they really should get", Labour are going to be great for the country and give me everything I need," Yada Yada Yada, while having a go at me for putting all my money in Share schemes and saying it's a waste of time and always listening to my dear old dad, and apparently not having a mind of my own. And yep, along comes labour and screws the country over, they never got what they wanted with there mortgages and by the time they realised I was doing the right thing in the first place with my Share Scheme it was too late for them. The share price had risen from the low £1 and even in the 80p's or 90p's at one stage and up to the £3 -£4 bracket on it's way to £8. The same thing will happen again if we're not careful. The Sheep will follow, not really thinking about the big picture and the country could well be screwed more than it is right now. They'll just be thinking about that one little thing that will benefit them, as opposed to the big picture that will benefit everyone. But getting rid of the Greed at the top is definitely one thing that needs sorting no matter what party is in power. | capeview
26/2/2018 17:06 | Nice volume up here. It was Corbyn's day so it was never going to do much. | nortic 007
26/2/2018 16:48 | Couldn't agree more. A bit disappointing finishing down .25p when it was up + 3.7p first thing, with the Ft finished up well | jpjohn1
26/2/2018 16:30 | Yes look how much airtime that Anne Soubry gets, conspiracy or what... shame she doesn`t use it to promote the UK. big traitor WJ. | w1ndjammer
26/2/2018 16:20 | Yeah someone needs to give that Anne Soubry a good slap. Deselect the tory traitors. They are so damaging and need to be pulled into line. Especially given the political circumstances. | supermarky
26/2/2018 16:18 | I have to admit to still being furious over the Blair government that I voted for, hoping that they would move the country in a slightly more socialist direction, only to see them do PFI big time - NHS ward closures etc. etc. At least Thatcher was a Tory proper, although perhaps that's unfair as I think she genuinely wanted to get people to rise up the ladder - hard work and all that. Where did all that boom money from Blairs terms go ? Certainly not into infrastructure. Another new bike wheel for me last week after the umpteenth pothole hit. Can't blame the Tories for that. Its Labour that had the money to sort it out. There are plenty of heavy traffic roads that have been around for years with little surface break-up. Somebody did a lot of shoddy work imo, probably as the result of backhanders in Birmingham (allegedly). We had one firm for donkey's years. | yump
26/2/2018 16:09 | Let's hope this backfires on Corbyn. | nortic 007 |
