The view of 17 brokers polled a few days a go showed they thought the dividend would be maintained this year according to the FT.Well we will find out soon, looking at the recent rise in shares in the utility sector is this a sentiment shift or a little bit of insider info leaking out?I bought more shares yesterday on the belief that the company is going to produce a slightly better set of results, flat would be an achievement when you look at the rise from the previous results from the two years before.All eyes are on the dividend and if maintained will be the catalyst for a sharp price rise.

Just a thought but unless I'm mistaken, if Corbyn did by some miracle win an election and Labour decided to remain in the EU, wouldn't that blow his chances of nationalising anything?

Thanks Nortic, this will be 2 pound + a share again, I am not sure of the date, but it will get there. I am sure in a few years time we will all say, we wished we would have topped up at this low share price :o)

He was against the ropes about a year and half ago with his own team asking for him to resign as he seemed unelectable. What happened he fired some of his own team some resigned he came out on top. With the unions votes behind him he will either remain in opposition or horrible as it sounds he may get elected. There is a love for the underdog here and worst have been elected.

The only thing I can say about Corbyn is if at any point he's put up against the ropes it'll reflect in the share price. As one poster commented last week, Corbyn could be in for a bit of stick. Nice to see the tables being turned for a change. I know it sounds strange but he's almost becoming to vocal. I bet he's already got his speech ready for the Thursday's announcement......blaaah,blaaah and little bit more blaaah.

he is happy to hide behind a mask, and then he can shout whatever he likes.

I know a company in my sector that blew the competition right out of the water.
They started by literally giving the goods away together with huge marketing . Got the turnover up, now has huge data base of customers and the biggest purchasing power in the industry.
Now they are the biggest in my industry they weren’t satisfied with that. Because of their buying power ,they can sell products cheaper then their competitors can buy from the manufacture for resale.
They now have a wholesale arm supplying their competitors as well . They are making money from direct sales and sales of their competitors.
They literally control the market
