Centrica is the super player on the ftse today. How many times has that happened recently. Standing out and the investment news is all in the open now. There is no more guessing.

The divi is amazing. I have said before conn needed to make big job cuts. It is obviously unfortunate but business is business.

Anyone losing their jobs can thank John McDonnell, Comrade Corbyn and of course Theresa the appeaser the weak kneed Tory/liberal minded leader. In fact say a big thank you to all the liberal politicians who seem to think profit is a dirty word

Aleman, there is a lot of misinformation when it comes to global warming, much like anything else.

Must have been global warming when the whole of the Thames in London froze over about 200 years ago, and the big winter we have in the 60's.

Personally, I'm more likely to believe the Earth is on it's usual cycle travelling around the Sun as part of the Solar System movement and we're in some phase that impacts global weather.
Also, when you consider some of the massive Damn's that have appeared in China and there is another appearing on the Nile so we have massive displacements of large bodies of water which isn't the normal evolution of the planet which could potentially impact the Wobble of the Planet much like putting a weight on a spinning top can affects it's wobble.

This is all my opinion and thoughts on it. Not saying pollution is a good thing, but more for our health than possible global warming the same as plastic pollution.

So the dividend is safe.
A dividend yield of 9% and a P/E of just 10 is obscene and shows the share price is the anomaly here and is just far too low!

It feels like a relief rally to me rather than a definitive reversal. I reduced my holding at 1.38. I am not expecting the price to plummet, but I have lost some faith in management and no longer entrust them with the weighting in my portfolio that they had. Good luck everyone.

Thanks, capeview. "So called global warming". Did you know it has snowed in the Sahara for the second consecutive winter and snowed in Saudi again. I used to live in Texas and it's been cold there, with a record equalling 3 snowfalls this winter and time for a 4th yet. Solar scientists are sceptical of AGW and said the recently finished weak cycle should see cooling from 2016/2017 for several years. The Northwest Passage did not open last summer (the Crystal Serenity cruise liner that went through at the low with an icebreaker escort had to call in a second ice breaker) and the Northern Route across Russia was open for only a short 10 weeks (so that won't be commercialising any time soon), Hudson Bay froze up early, Baltic Sea ice is above average, Great Lakes ice is above average, there's been lots of snow in Morocco this winter, UK sea temperatures have been average to slightly low for a year or two (after cooling from the 2003-2006 highs and the main reason for our cooler sunnier weather for a couple of years), glaciers in Greenland are growing again, and you've probably seen everyone complaining about cold weaknening skis and otherwise making the Winter Olympics difficult. The sea has frozen off the south coast of Korea and the northern Black Sea/Crimea and it recently froze at Cape Code. There was a frost in Brazil a few weeks ago. (Summer!) Of course, the US government temperature models show warming after they adjust the early 19th Century temperatures down by up to 1C, to much criticism and while not tying in well with some private sector models. People should research how government-funded agencies torture the data they put into the models to persuade us all it's warming.

Targeting 5% growth in cashflow

Maintenance of the dividend until at least 2020 with potential for rise if cashflow rises.
